Sorry, the website was being wonky every time I tried up update due to the humble bundle traffic. I could barely post from my phone.

Check back in 5.

An interesting reversal of the original "possum" discussion, courtesy of Facebook:

Person A: "Wallkill NWR today. These guys are not the wariest animals out there..." [posts video of opossum]
Person B: "What is that? A rat?"
Person A: "No - it's an opossum. You've probably seen plenty of them dead on the road!"
Person B: "WHAT???"
Person B: "Oh my goodness. Is that what was dead on the road? I try not to look. Too much city in me."

Limoncello is delicious. That is all

Wow. Up at 4 am. Stone sober with only a slight headache for all the pink lemonades* I drank last night.

Pink Lemonade: 1 Shot lemon vodka, 1 shot limoncello. Mix with simply juice raspberry lemonade. Garnish with lemon wedge

You are Danny DeVito and I claim my £5.

Can I get your autograph if you're Danny Devito, I loved you in Batman Returns!

So, a limoncello affinity means I am an aging vertically-challenged comedian?

Photoshopping is difficult when you are drunk.

But drinking is easy when you are drunk

Starting Mass Effect again because I miss mai waifu.

Hey there David. Enjoy Mass Effect.

Snow By Night has been an enjoyable webcomic so far.

iZombie just dropped a big D&D riff. Amazing how blasé the cultural zeitgeist is about D&D these days

BTW PAt,

Thanks for the tip about the Iron Druid series.
I went by a bookstore and picked up the first 2 novels in paperback. (They had the entire series EXCEPT the third)
I started reading it, and I like it. :)

I think I may have found my between-Dresden-Novels filler series! ;P

So Thanks Monkey!

It's a fun series, and the books keep getting better. The first one is good, but he is getting his feet under him: Explaining things, etc. His voice matures through the series. And I love his dog Oberyn. He is a hoot.

Funny you mention that...

In fact I am pretty sure I used the same link... *checks the link* NkjY4... Yep.

Initially it was supposed to be a fey, but then certain contest happened. I did not get into the top six so I had a ready material for the blog.

And yes, the name of the ability Golden Fiddle was directly inspired by the song.

I should probably cut it down to 6 HD so it could be conjured with lesser planar ally/binding...

There isn't enough 6 or less HD outsiders to conjure with those spells.

Good idea. It sounds more like a talking encounter rather than a straight-up brawl mob anyway.

I'm tired. Exercising is one of those time-sucking activities you just can't avoid.

I need to get a few things straightened out tonight. I am working a 16-hour shift, so I will be a busy little monkey until 8 am tomorrow

I did get a lot of things done yesterday, but sadly my maps weren't one of them. A friend invited me out for drinks, then I got home and went on an iZombie binge. Got caught up, but failed to photoshop

Tomorrow is leap day. It's amazing to look back on all the changes that have occurred since the last one.

Woohoo! Picked up another shift. One step closer to financial solvency!

Commander Shepard is the best. That is all.

Yes, she is.

Blerg. Nine hours down, seven to go

I like the Primus version.

Obviously, I do not inter-google-net-thingy enough, or I would have heard of him sooner. :)

Nice. :)

Hmmm, now I wonder about a low CR Fine-sized devil (or Fey) playing an even tinier violin that appears to annoy folk and provoke them into a rage or a rash action(s). Or a swarm of them.

"What's that over yonder Merle?"

"My stars! It's a Hellfiddler Swarm! RUN!"

Ah dun no witch Ah miss mahr, grilled hellfiddlers on skewers or hellfiddler & spicy Andorens sausage gumbo. Mmmm, softshell hellfiddlers are mighty tasty too, specially with Ol' Bey on 'em.

Edit: Damn. I just made myself hungry for crawfish and crab.

A little over three left out of 16.

I had a weird NPC concept. A Chaos Diver who built the first Stability Submersible to plumb the depths of Limbo. This magewright was trying to discover what lay at the heart of that mercurial plane, a place no traveller has gotten to. What could be at the heart of limbo? A portal to even weirder realms? The Far Realm perhaps?

Ugh. Time to get up and go back to work....

I used to think I never won anything. Then I realized I never entered any contests. Now I win stuff all the time. I just won a free book! Schwing!

Hey aeglos, you can tell Sabine I saw a real opossum today! I was driving home from choir practice, and there was one on my street, caught clearly by the headlights, about the size of a cat. Not one of the fake ones you guys saw in Chinatown :)

Heh, I see those in my backyard occasionally.
And Armadillos.

And no, I do not live in the middle of b@#$$&*% nowhere. ;P

I guess I just have a very welcoming backyard? :)
They pretty much look like they are just passing through when I see them.

Now if i could just get the F'ing squirrels to stop digging holes in my backyard! :/

So, I'm headed to GenCon. First time in my life, although I've wanted to go since 1980. I'm actually very excited, since I will be meeting up with a certain badger and possibly a dwarf. It's funny how if you make up your mind to do something and ignore the doubts that you find that the complications you were worried about seem to resolve themselves.

12 years ago, for my 40th bday, my group pooled their resources and took me to GenCon with them. I've never gotten to go back, but I'll always treasure the memory of getting to go at least once.

As I sit down to eat my evening meal of Kraft Dinner, hot dogs, ketchup chips, and lite beer, I've come to realize that, based solely on my choice of menu items, I'd make a halfway decent Canadian.

Sounds yummy.

The only way I will eat hot dogs is if they are grilled and have char on the outside. I also prefer the higher quality hot dogs.

Come to the Dark Side, eh? We have poutine!

You're from way too south of the border to appreciate the fine bouquet of a microwaved and/or boiled 89-cent hot dog with extra sauerkraut.

Now that boiled hot dogs have been brought up, now I'm craving Stewart's. Curses...

There's nothing that makes sitting in a freezing cold dump truck bearable like a Stewart's hot dog with a hot cup of coffee and a couple of Marlboro Blacks. I miss it terribly.

I haz the sads. Mrs. Moorluck invited my boy and me for Laser Tag this Sunday for her youngest kid's birthday. I had to decline because My brother is already planning a crawfish boil for that day, in honor of my sister-in-law's birthday.
