A cartoon series. I do not really care for it, but the wife loves it. Then again, I also do not have much of a sense of humor either, so that might explain me not liking it.

~shakes my head~ That is not funny! ~puts my scales back on~

Its a mildly entertaining show Seth McFarland's humor is hit or miss with me.

i swear. They come up with Viagra, but they can't make a metabolic booster. C'mon Phizer! You can do it!

I love American Dad! and The Cleveland Show, Family Guy is kind of "meh" for me outside of the Star Wars episodes, it's funny though.

Of course none of them compare to Archer, or even Bob's Burgers. :-)

Ugh, Pfizer.

Suuuuuuuurrrrreeeeee the antidepressants are affordable, after insurance starting at $3, then $5, then $15, then then $34, then $76, then $92, then $101, then $124, and then I stopped taking them.

So my dog is tripping, staggering, losing his balance, and circling this morning.

Well, at least you weren't the jerk that left that nail around for my truck tire to find. It was under warranty at least!

Just returned from the vet. Thought we might be saying goodbye to The Shadow today, but he was walking much better (though gingerly) when we got to the vet. He's on a couple of pain meds and isn't showing signs of stroke or ear infections, and his vitals are good, so we'll see. He had hip surgery as a young dog and it may just be catching up with him.

He's still not perky and not cheerful and not eating, but maybe taking care of pain will help that. I dunno.

Here's hoping everything works out and he is still good to go!

Poor Shadow, hopefully the meds will help and it's nothing really serious...

we had the first real week of summer in Germany, sunny, no rain, above 25*C

So, I got into a monster-writing project... I logged into shared google folder and lo', for whom I found if not a certain Badger... In fact multiple instances of his creations...

ahead is one hard week moderating a workshop which means 11 hour work days (which are ilegal in Germany, so I will have to "forget" to use the time clock and later correct my flex time account)
after that, our holiday week in the family hotel we went to 3 times already

tomorrow we likely go to a "mediveal market" (you would call it ren fair, I guess) in Steinau, where the brothers Grimm grew up.

Okay so i apparently freaked out my coworker when I told him I was playing in like 12 PbPs.

"How do you keep them all separate?!?!"

I just do, I had never really thought about it before. Can everyone else do this just fine or do any of start to mix things up after so many?

:( Sorry to hear that Treppa. It's never an easy time. I still miss my last pup I had to make that decision with. But they will let you know when the time is ready.

Good morning folks.

Finally had a shift at the second job last night. I missed a shift because of the cough and fever, but I made it to the meeting on Wednesday which was good. Shift was awesome, wandered East Village for several hours hitting the usual spots with a new guy. I tired a bit easily due to still being under the weather, but I would say I am upper 80's, low 90's with respect to being myself.

Don't tell Freehold... Poutine is better than takoyaki.

How was your poutine?

A lot like loaded fries in the States. More of a potato casserole in texture
At Pomme Frites they are made with freshly cut, amazing fries. You need good fries for good poutine. If they are weak fries or if it has been sitting, it kind of mushes into a casserole.
Excellent. My female companion was quite psyched to hear of our destination for Sunday dinner.
Just be aware: French fries are all they sell.
I'm good with that. We can always do a late-night munchie run after we go to the Tim Burton bar

I think I just passed this place last night.

Wait, has it not been above 25*C all summer? Because I need to start spending my summers in Hessia.

well, we had even 30* some day, then 18 the next, then 28, then 15 then 20 no 2 days with the same weather and no 3 days without heavy rain

I was amazed that Cape Breton was in the 15-25 C range while I was up there. As soon as I went back into Maine it was 30+ again.

*sigh*

I enjoy warmth, but not THAT much warmth. I don't even want to go outside.

Southern Europeans are funny.

Back from a friend's birthday. He got Dresden File's RPG, core rulebook (Your Story), among the other things.

And I am suffering minor introvert social overload. A walk back home burned most of it already, though I am also tired.

Well, don't let cars park on top of you.

Jardiance is my new miracle pill. It flushes all the excess sugar from my body and puts my blood sugars back in range. Mow I need to get off the soda pop and I can start losing weight again.

So Shadow dog's ears are up, his tail is wagging, and he's bopping around the place like nothing was wrong. Still weak in the back end - he falls on tile and can't get up - but he drags himself to carpet and clambers to his feet again.

I've taken him outside for a bunch of short walks to build up his muscles, and I throw toys for him to chase a lot. He seems pretty happy, even eating now. Huge change from yesterday. Pain will take you down fast. He's such a crying baby about everything that when he didn't whimper in pain, I thought he was OK. I mean, really, grab his collar and he yowls like you've sliced him open. So with no noise at all, I missed it.

The vet told me interesting signs of pain in dogs, like they stand with their rear feet right together when their hips hurt. He (Shadow, not the vet) was doing that yesterday. Today, his rear feet are separated by 6-8 inches. Way cool.

Such a relief. Thought I was going to lose my dog on National Dog Day.

Glad to hear that Treppa!

Very good to hear. :-)

Treppa, did you recently go hungry cause you decided to feed some starving birds outside your windowsill?
