As far as APs, I want to try to not eat an AP. I've got star recharges, but I have a plan for those. New APs are getting sanctioned (most recently Iron Gods and Giantslayer). Still, I'd rather run than not run, so we'll see what we can do.

Roos here
Only APs done are ROTRL and Wardens of the Reborn Forge (if that is an AP). Will provide my 'not done' module list when I leave the office.
GM Aarvid |
I have Hugo Victor-13 (VC) - who has only played the EotT. And Dora-12 (retired). Neither have played any high level mods nor AP.
Dungeon Master S |
Yeah let's not use Academy of Secrets as WerePox has played it.
Some options on my short list:
The Slave Trenches of Kakotep (Mummy's Mask)
The Frozen Stars (Reign of Winter)
I'll also play ANY module of the correct tier.
Dungeon Master S |
Sounds like you have the least available, are there any new modules that you haven't hit? I can use that as a list to start.
qwerty1971 |
Modules played:
Crypt of the Everflame,
Masks of the Living God
Feast of Ravenmoor
The Midnight Mirror
Dawn of the Scarlet Sun
Cult of the Ebon Destroyers
Wardens of the Reborn Forge
AP:Rise of the Runelords
Dungeon Master S |
Is there a handy "sanctioned content by tier" list?
Lab_Rat |
I am game for continuing and am completely open as far as sanctioned content.
I have
Roakar (lvl 13.2) Barbarian
Angrid Luin (Lvl 12) Bloat Mage
I would prefer to avoid Acadamy of Secrets. I would really like to play that as my Bloat Mage when he hits 13. He trained there, so a homecoming could be really fun to RP with the right GM.
Dungeon Master S |
Lab_Rat... When Angrid hits level 13, I'd be happy to run it for a different group, just let me know. I have a home group that will be playing Eyes of the Ten this summer. Half of them are avid PbP types (GMTrex, Bofus AKA Val).

Sounds like a blast. I am sure I can find a table between now and then to get him to 13.

As you know, I'm totally in. We had spoken before, but that was prior to Giantslayer and Iron Gods.
Ignatious the Seeker of Flame |
Mod 12-14 Academy of Secrets
Mod 13-15 Tomb of the Iron Medusa
ES 11-13 Emerald Spire: The Emerald Root
AP 12-14 Rise of the Runelords: Fortress of the Stone Giants
AP 14-16 Rise of the Runelords: Sins of the Saviors
AP 11-13 Carrion Crown: Ashes at Dawn
AP 13-15 Carrion Crown: Shadows of Gallowspire
AP 11-13 Jade Regent: Tide of Honor
AP 14-16 Jade Regent: The Empty Throne
AP 11-13 Skull and Shackles: The Price of Infamy
AP 13-15 Skull and Shackles: From Hell's Heart
AP 11-13 Shattered Star: Beyond the Doomsday Door
AP 13-15 Shattered Star: Into the Nightmare Rift
AP 11-13 Reign of Winter: The Frozen Stars
AP 13-15 Reign of Winter: Rasputin Must Die!
AP 12-14 Mummy's Mask: The Slave Trenches of Hakotep
AP 11-13 Giantslayer: Ice Tomb of the Giant Queen
AP 11-13 Iron Gods: Valley of the Brain Collectors
AP 13-15 Iron Gods: Palace of Fallen Stars
If anyone is interested, Giant Slayer looks pretty interesting for PFS, and we could do all three parts in order.
Here is a good list, but not complete these last few months.
Dungeon Master S |
There is Emerald Spire. I'm totally down for running those.
I'm also REALLY intrigued about running giant slayer in a row. It'll be 2019 the next time either of my private groups picks an AP, so I'm not worried about using one up now.
Matt, if you can share that spreadsheet, I would greatly appreciate it.
GM Aarvid |
So how many people(characters) are available and do we have enough to run more than one table? I would be willing to GM something as well.
Lab_Rat |
Matt, if you can share that spreadsheet, I would greatly appreciate it.
No Problem. At our planned level the door is wide open. However, the last 3-4 lvls have to be planned out well and have GM stars in reserve if you want to play a second / third character up to 20 (not counting GM credit lvls).
Chris Marsh |
I'm down for playing something. I have a level 13 2/3 ranger (archer, boon companion )

what was the target level again? 14? if so i will try to get my lvl 10.1 Warpriest to 11 to receive his awaiting chronicles boosting him to 14.
Chris Marsh |
Depends on what we want to play. The other PCs are 13 2/3

If yall are going to run Race for the Key id like to bring my mage.. Shes 1 xp from 20th.. Brutality is not the proper word to describe her.. Although it might make it less fun for lower level characters.. I suppose I could tone her down unless the situation needed it..
If not Darius is who I would bring..
Chris Marsh |
Sadly Rune Carved is still a multitable if I'm not mistaken. The current plan is something available to level 13

Dungeon Master S |
That's awesome! Thank you.
I like starting off with the Giant Slayer stuff, but I'll do whatever. Any other ideas for the path thus far?
Ignatious the Seeker of Flame |
I'm good with it as well, though I may not be as great against giants. Fire giants could be interesting.
Dungeon Master S |
Technically no, we can jump to book 4 (your current level.)
qwerty1971 |
I will bow out of that adventure then, i want to do the entire AP from start to finish like i did with the Runelords. By all means if you folks want to do that then continue. i am sure Roak would have something to hit that is bigger than him.
Dungeon Master S |
We haven't picked it yet. I TOTALLY get wanting the whole thing. What's the easiest way to narrow down the choices for the current options for level 13 characters?
GM Aarvid |
I am still good with anything 12th-13th or above (assuming we continue). While I would love to play a full AP...on pbp that could take years before we reach book 4.
Dungeon Master S |
So it stinks because I want to run everything for everyone, but I don't have the bandwidth. I entertained the thought of running Giantslayer full on, but I can't do another AP at the moment. Realistically with buying a house this summer, and whatnot I can't do it.
I only have the bandwidth for modules and scenarios at the moment (or PFS sections of APs.) That sucks for WerePox, but I can't think of a situation that covers everyone.
Sorry man, I wish I could come up with a solution. :-( Keep your eye out though, as I get more and more characters into Seeker levels, I'm likely to offer more and more, and new modules get sanctioned all the time.
For those who remain, is there a preferred module to start?
GM Aarvid |
Are these the two main ones available for level 13? If so, either is fine by me.
Mod 12-14 Academy of Secrets
Mod 13-15 Tomb of the Iron Medusa
If I understand correctly Ironbound Forge or whatever is a retirement arc so I'd rather save that for a future character.
Dungeon Master S |
Yes, Wardens of the Ironbound Forge is a retirement arc. I recommend using your next level 12 for that.
We'll have to use SOME APs to go all the way, but for now I have the bandwidth for a module. People who can/want to which of those modules would you want?
Mod 12-14 Academy of Secrets
Mod 13-15 Tomb of the Iron Medusa
GM Aarvid |
One question, and this may make a difference. Within modules, do you level with each sub-part...or typically only at the end (all 3xp at once)?
Ignatious the Seeker of Flame |
Character full updated. I'm good with any as well, though Academy of Secrets, being the lower level one, might be the best option.
Dungeon Master S |
I know it excludes one, but I don't think there is an option that everyone wants to do.
Academy?
