Water Dependent animal companions?

Scarab Sages

Two questions, very related.

First, if an animal companion/familiar has the "water dependency" trait, can they participate in land based PFS adventures that start and end in a single day, provided they have enough Con? In example, the Giant Crab Vermin Companion can survive for 1 hour per point of Con before subject to suffocation. His base Con is 13.

Second, for the aquatic animal companions without the generous water dependency above, are there any solutions (PFS legal feats/items/others) out there for making them able to breathe air? (or are their spells that can make it realistic to be on land and aquatic...?)

Create water certainly helps, and IIRC the familiar folio had some items for aquatic creatures, not sure how useful they would be for animal companions of that size.

The Exchange 5/5

Spells:
- Air Breathing
- Antropomorphic Animal

Items:
- Collapsible bathtub (in combatination with create water and a cartload of salt in case of saltwater dependancy)

As for familiars, there's the line of Aquarium Ball items for up to tiny sized aquatic creatures.

Ultimate equipment has a portable bathtub. That and create water ought to cover water dependency.

The only item for putting a fish on land that I know of is a really short duration belt

You can be a Tattooed Sorcerer, Synergist Witch, or have a Tumor Familiar to let the familiar merge with your body, where it can stay indefinitely.

There's an interesting option. Very clever. Had not consider that advantage of the above classes.
