What if I end up with the same stat being added to the same thing twice??

Rules Questions

Making a Paladin with one oracle level to get sidestep secret to use charisma instead of dex for AC and reflex saves, however divine grace adds charisma again to reflex saves.
So which one gets applied??

You would get your CHA mod to both AC & REF, but only once (the source doesn't matter as you can't double up on the bonus).

can't double use a stat for the same thing.

Ability score modifiers have been clarified to be their own type. You cannot stack the same ability score mod to the same thing more than once.

I know if can't double the stats but the build is just going to get this so I need to know if I replace my dex with charisma, or do I get it as a bonus to my to the save.

Add your Charisma modifier (instead of your Dexterity modifier) to your Armor Class and all Reflex saving throws.

You replace your Dex with your Charisma.

you get charisma instead of dex to saves and then you don't get cha as second time to saves, so it's worse unless your dex is 11 or lower.

Dex is lower than 11.

then it does remove your dex, so it's equal or better than adding charisma and dex.
