I got blasted last time for voicing my opinion that I'd like a male and female of each iconic which I think would sell well. If I think that male versions of the female version for class would sell well, would the same hold true, would female gamers buy female versions of the current male iconics? Just curious since we all want more minis that we would want to use, would female gamers want more as well?
I bought the first 3 boxed sets and almost picked up set 4 at the FLGS today but backed off. I know I'm in the minority on this but I'd really like the option of buying the male minis of these as singles as I'm not going to spend $30 for 2 minis. The 3 female minis in 4 of the sets will receive very limited table time so it would be nice to have these upscale and extremely nice minis as singles if possible. They are much better than the mini in the regular set but for me it's a hard pill to swallow to spend $30 for 2 minis I'll use.
To count - 6 sets of 5 iconic boxed sets. Female iconic - 16, 14 male.

The issue is these aren't just "gnome druid" it's "Lini". This is a specific character in the world, with her own history, and actively taking actions (see the Pathfinder comics by Dynamite entertainment). They don't have art for the miniature sculptors to go off of for these characters gender swapped. I guess I'm not seeing how a male 'cutpurse' and a 'male version of Merisal' differ enough to be useful.
I also believe that the iconics are 50% female be design, so that the maximum number of people can see heroes that 'look like them'.

I understand the Paizo did it, having read most all the comics put out so far as they build the character history. I just think it would be cool to have a cool looking male mini in such high quality that the iconic sets have been. I picked up the new cut purse mini from the red dragon inn mini line which will do, just wishful thinking I guess.
