tribal medicine man help?

Advice

i think I wanna make a shoanti medicine man(alchemist) for PFS. Eventually he will be a healer/buffer with infusions. The only problem is that I don't see the bombs fitting in with the whole Schtick.

would a chirurgen for healing/ psychonaut for "rituals" to commune with spirits/ internal alchemist for body awareness fit for the theme I'm looking for?

also any ideas on what feats to take?

I was thinking of taking one of the Quah feats and skill focus(alchemy)
I want this to be flavorful and not overly munchkined (sp?)

traits I was thinking auspicious tattoo (shoanti) and shoanti tattoo so I can use some traditional shoanti weapons.

You seem to have it pretty in hand.

There's a 3pp archetype (herbalist) that uses Wis for alchemy and replaces the fluff of calcinators and alembics with foraging wolfsbane and belladonna, which feels more Shoanti to me, but yours is a pretty sweet character anyway.

Only thing build wise I'd recommend is keep Int (or Wis) relatively low and still use strength and an earthbreaker as a primary tactic, Shoanti still gotta smash orc/ogre/bulette skulls in.

I'd say that a Shaman is much easier for the concept. Though if you want to go Alchemist (can't blame you) you should. You can't use both chirurgen and psychonaut though, as they both replace the same class features.
If you don't want the Bombs, maybe Vivisectionist? Otherwise, you could try to make it work with bombs (as they are a great asset).

@FaceInTheSand: He's doing this for PFS, so no 3pp.

D'oh! Good point. So used to home games and being a 3pp open DM.

Shaman also works well. Herbalist Hedge Witch with Healing Patron?

There is a discovery for alchemists called healing bomb. You expend a cure potion or infused extract, and the bomb will heal the damage that the potion or extract would have, as well as damage undead.

Refluff them as a concoction of irritating natural "gunk" or bags filled with fire ants and nettles maybe?

Just 'cause it does fire damage, doesn't mean it needs to be fire.

mix healing bombs with
Precise Bombs

Benefit: Whenever the alchemist throws a bomb, he can select a number of squares equal to his Intelligence modifier that are not affected by the splash damage from his bombs. If the bomb misses, this discovery has no effect.

and you don't have worry about healing your enemies

thanks for the advice, and the main reason I don't want to play a Shaman is so I can go, I am medicine man, not Shaman! The Spirits did not bless me with those gifts.

I think I'm gonna go with psychonaut so I can use augury and divination spells as extracts, and say its an ancient ritual of my tribe.
