Registering PFS Quests as events

Grand Lodge 1/5

Hi all.
I will be running the PFS the quests in Ustalav for my group and gaming club. I noticed that such events need to be registered as either or both RPG or PFC. I will be offering them the next month or so as Core games. Can someone please explain what I need to do.

Running them in core? Tick the core box ('PFC' from memory).

Yeap they could be.. depends on what pre-gens I offer. One group will be the other might not be... but I have time to determine.

Also... When does a player have to apply the chronicle sheet? This is relevant as I was planning on running all the Ustalav quests as an introduction to the Carrion Crown AP I will run for my play group. So this means the Phantom Phenom Quests (all) and one of the Silverhex Chronicles (Mists) all using core PF pregens. Can they play them all and then apply to a single level 1 PFS character?

PS. I was planning on running the Silverhex Chronicles quest first...

The rules for players applying credit are on page 3 of the Phantom Phenomena PDF (and I assume the other quest PDF too). What you're proposing is fine, although it will leave the PCs slightly behind the gold curve (as they'll get very low gold rewards from Silverhex).

@Matt Lewis
I was unsure as this confused me,
"At any time, he can apply the Chronicle sheet to a 1st-level Pathfinder Society character, but if that character gains XP from another Chronicle sheet, he can no longer earn additional rewards for that character for playing the other Phantom Phenomena quests. "

So if a level 1 PFS character who completes one quest first can not apply a second one. So I was unsure so the exact example I wish clarification for follows

My example.
John a player completes mists from Silverhex and applies to his an unplayed mint PFS character. He then goes on and completes the Phantom Phenom quest arc and applies it to his mint PFS character that he applied Silverhex Chronicle to. This means he applies the relevant rewards from the two chronicle sheets to his character and he no longer can receive and more rewards from Silverhex even if he does not play another PFS scenario.

First of all, it's worth pointing out that a particular PFS PC can never* have more than one of the same chronicle, even replayable scenarios/quests.

But in your case, that doesn't matter. The player doesn't have to assign and apply the chronicle to a PC until he's happy he's not going to play any more of the individual quests on it.

So how it should work:

- John plays 'Mists' and gets issued with a Silverhex chronicle with that quest box ticked. He puts his name and player number (the part before the dash) at the top of the chronicle, and keeps it for future use.

- He plays all of the Phantom Phenomena quests with the same GM, who issues a filled-in chronicle which John applies to a PC (chronicle #1).

- He plays another Silverhex quest, gives his part-completed chronicle (from the earlier 'Mists' session) to the GM, who ticks the relevant quest box on the sheet. If John is happy he's not going to play any more, he/the GM fill in and sign the right-hand column of the chronicle (prestige, gold award, etc.) as normal. John adds the character number to the top of the chronicle, meaning it becomes chronicle #2 (assuming it's the same PC who got credit for Phantom Phenomena).

* I'm sure someone can think of a very obscure exception to this, but none come to mind.

That actually answers a few questions.

So the system does allow me to record the session I ran with out the number/s after the -. I guess all the players has to do is get the GM to acknowledge/initial/sign/date the changes that the player makes like assigning a chronicle sheet etc etc/
