So I'm getting ready to run Wrath of the Righteous for my group in a few weeks. I ordered the 1st book of the AP over Christmas break. Finally got a chance to settle in and start reading through it. I noticed right away that the spine felt really stiff. As soon as I opened the book the spine cracked. Within just a few minutes a whole section (Table of Contents thru pg 14) broke loose and fell out. At this point I'm hesitant to open the book again lest more sections break loose and the whole thing falls apart. Is this a common problem with the softcover APs? I have several other softcovers from Paizo with smaller page counts and have not had this problem.

Huh. I've never experienced this. My copy of The Worldwound Incursion is fine

Wrath of the Righteous books one and two (more so with two) both had a run with bad glue, my copies of both are also falling apart.

Gods and Magic also suffered from it.

A tip: when you first get a pathfinder book from the campaign setting and AP lines, immediately and carefully fold the front and back covers out along the established crease, this helps immensely at preventing page separation.

Hope it helps, send the pictures to customer service if you can.

Good luck!

Hi Dragnmstr72,

I'm sorry to hear that your book fell apart! It sounds like there may have been some issues with the binding, since our books are intended to last just a BIT more than the first time reading through them. :)

I'll go ahead and get a replacement order set up to be sent out to you as soon as possible. (Please note, we're not here on weekends, so your order may not leave until sometime next week.) In the meantime, if you'd like to send some pictures of the damage to customer.service@paizo.com, we can pass those on to make sure we keep tabs on the issue.

Once your replacement order has been sent out, you should receive a confirmation email to let you know it's on the way. Please don't hesitate to let us know if there are any further questions or concerns that you may have in the meantime, and I'll be more than happy to help out as best I can.

Thanks!
Katina
