Good to see some free stuff that can readily utilize a d10 (or can be used with a diceroller, like this... d10: 1d10 ⇒ 2). ;)

P.S. By a roll of 1d4: 1d4 ⇒ 3, this means... I gots me a worn leather backpack with stuff in it, including an incomplete map. Probably should buy it before the curio shop proprietor gets upset...

Woodsmen and hunters shun the place—kept away by rumours of a terrible beast lairing within and of a ghost haunting the valley’s boggy mere. But, as well as great danger, treasures magical and mundane may yet lie unclaimed in the valley for three unexplored tombs built by ancient hands, stand amid the mud and reeds. Dare you explore the Shunned Valley of the Three Tombs?

This week, we've featured the work of two new freelancer game designers over at raging swan.com!

Jeff Gomez gives us 20 Things to Eat at a Feast (or at a high-class tavern) while Seamus Conneely helps PCs everywhere loot the pockets of a fallen adventurer with 20 Things to Loot from a Dead Adventurer.

Even more excitingly, we also released I Loot the Rogue's Body in both Pathfinder and System Neutral Editions. If your PCs are about to kill a crush a thieves' guild or sack an assassin's lair, it's worth taking a look at the free sample over at our website.

And finally, if you fancy it, why not support us on Patreon. We've had a recent surge of support which means we are closing in on our next milestone. If we hit that, we'll increase our pay rate to 9 cents a word for our designers! I've very much looking forward to that so if you can help out, please pop over and take a look!

Another week, another set of free gaming resources for all you GMs out there! This week, we had a mixture of home-grown articles (by me) and an excellent guest post by John Schutt.

10 Signs of Previous Exploration to Discover in a Dungeon
20 Poorly Hidden Secret Dungeon Doors by John Schutt
10 Things to Find in a Rats' Nest that I clearly should have subtitled, "That aren't Rats"

We also unveiled a first look at Village Backdrop: Silver Bluff by Mike Welham.

Meanwhile, over on my blog, I wondered What's the Point (in Gaming).

And, of course, I'm still jolly keen to talk you into signing up for our Patreon campaign. As we speak, we are closing in on our next milestone, which will see Raging Swan Press start to pay its designers nine cents a word! Considering last year we were paying 1 cent a word, I think that's pretty epic!

Mr Broadhurst I wish to say thank you for your extremely useful 10/20 Things lists. I have copied several of them prior to tonight's run of Rappan Athuk. I plan on getting them all eventually. Thanks from a very tired GM.

The book is a compilation of every list posted in 2016. It also includes the occasional extra list I wrote up to fill up the space on several pages--I have to waste good space after all!

Wow. Nine cents a word is awesome. Would that would make Raging Swan the industry leader?

(Speaking of which, back to my project I'm working on for Creighton.)

No. Paizo would definitely be paying more. (I think Paizo pay 10 cents a word). I'm assuming Wizards pay more as well, but I haven't worked for them for ages!

I hope people enjoy my contribution; I've always thought wizards need interesting libraries, but coming up with books on the spot can be a bit tricky.

I copied selected 10 & 20 lists and wound up with 60 pages. So I ask when will a compilation book be produced so I can save some paper?

This week, Raging Swan Press has released yet more free gaming goodness ready for your campaign:

20 Things to Find Near Skeletal Remains
20 Things to Loot from a Dead Bard

Strangely, the looting the dead bard article has been rather popular. Do people hate bards that much?

And are you a fan of encumbrance? Do you hate it with the fiery passion of a thousand blazing suns? Either way, I've just posted about the fallacy of the adventurer's backpack. Do you agree?

Also, finally, we are excitingly close--like under $2 away--from our next Patreon milestone. When we hit it, we'll start paying out freelancers 9 cents a word! That amazingly epic.
