Do you get 1.5x your INT modifier for a two-handed weapon, 1x for an on-handed weapon, and 0.5x for off-handed weapons? Or is it just a universal 1x, regardless of handedness?

We have a number of ways to replace the Str modifier for damage: Dervish Dance, Fencing Grace, Slashing Grace, Finesse Training, and Elven Battle Focus. They all have similar wording in their descriptions; something along the lines of "You add/use your _ modifier instead of your _ modifier." I think it is reasonable to assume that they all follow the same basic rules regarding the 1.5x, 1x, 0.5x issue.

The first three options have extra language which limits them to one-handed fighting styles so they aren't helpful here. The question of whether they would give you 1.5x or 0.5x is meaningless. Finesse Training is the only other way to replace Str while fighting two-handed or with two weapons. Since it does still follow the 1.5x, 1x, 0.5x rules, I assume that Elven Battle Focus would work the same way.

No. It's only 1x INT.

So if you're two-handing, it's 1x, one-handing, it's 1x, and off-handing, it's 1x? Or off-handing 0.5x?

Off-handing a weapon for Elven Battle Focus is a bad idea. It only works on the Longsword, Rapier, ECB, and EBS. None of which are light weapons.

Just wondering, for clarification.

Oh, and Effortless Lace is a thing.

I wonder, what build would profit from INT 2 dam? you still need an attribute for attacking, don't you?

Scimitar Kensai UMDing a Wand of Flame Blade because it attacks touch AC!?

More arguments, less assertions, pls.

Finesse lore warden fighter with an Elven branch spear would get a lot of use out of the style, as would finesse magi and or investigators.

Bump- Anything conclusive on this yet?

It's 1.5/1/0.5. The Unchained Rogue FAQ strongly suggests that all "replace X modifier with Y modifier" still follow rules that modify how and when X modifier applies.

Just checking again for multiple person confirmation.

I personally am still unsure, so I hit the FAQ button.

How about an assertive argument then?

I treat any 'ability swap' in exactly the same way as the original ability unless it tells me not to.

There is no reason to treat INT any different than you treat STR when you replace one for the other.

The question is when you use X to replace Y for something did the same rules apply ?
If we use Charisma instead of Intelligence for a Wizard, do we have the bonus spells due to high Charisma ? As far I know, it is yes.
If the wording clearly say that you use Dexterity or Intelligence in lieu of Strength, the same rule applies : x1 for One Handed, x1.5 for Two Handed, x 0.5 for Off Handed.
If the wording does not clearly say it, then it as to be clarify thru a FAQ...
