I'm building a 16th level fighter for my home game world, and cannot decide on a cohort for his leadership feat.
He's a King of has united the barbarian tribes of the north and establish an ironfisted rule.
Any thoughts? I can't seem to make up my mind
As a king it would be awesome to have a Master Spy.

Sounds like the perfect opening for a Barbarian Queen.

Depends on what you want really.
For RAW power a sorc/oracle may complement the fighter more in options.
From a RP point of view then i did like the barbarian queen , while ofc she doenst to be an actual barbarian to fill the role.
It's true, in fact the fighter I've built is called the "Barbarian King"
Though why not fuse both the ideas of a barbarian and bard together and use a Skald? I'm not familiar with the class, but apparently it's pretty broken

If you're looking for a Cohort for a King, I suggest you go over the Leadership Roles in Kingmaker/Ultimate Campaign for ideas first.
Unless you want the Cohort to be a personal flunky/minion.
Afterall, a Ruler's most trusted Follower should have a some ROLE in a Kingdom.
Then I would determine HOW he goes about fulfilling that ROLE, which is what I believe you are asking.

I'd advise picking whichever type of cohort you think would be fun to have tag along with your character. If you're asking what type would be the strongest choice, then the answer, of course, if a wizard.
Personally I'd go for a cohort that would fit a role my character would want in his retinue, or perhaps even have my queen as my cohort, your most loyal of followers =]

- "The Barbarian King" Eerikki Ingmar
- third born son of a small tribe chief, always fought for his father's attention, but rarely received it. At the age of 14 he set out on his own to the unexplored reaches of the north lands.
-Discovered that he had the ability to breath ice, freezing his enemies in place.
-During his travels he was encountered by a women named Jacey Ragnhild, who thought he may be the one to reach the rumored lost caverns of <blank>
-Together they traveled to they discovered the lost caverns of <blank>, and empowered Eerikki Ingmar
-With his new found power he and his companion traveled back and one by one united the warring barbarian tribes, ruling over them with an iron fist as he conquered nearby lands, building a massive castle.
As you can see I need to fill in alot of gaps.
