We are looking to play this out soon and are wondering how long it will take to play out each of the three parts

Silver Crusade 5/5

Module mode or seeker mode?

Seeker Mode

Silver Crusade 5/5

I'm trying to go from memory here, it's been a while since I ran it. Party was Life Oracle, Barbarian, rogue, and Battle Herald.

Part one: about 10 hours, give or take depending on party composition and inclination. I think my table finished in two 4-5 hour sessions.

Part two was a similar length, i think it might have taken my party an extra session to finish up.

If you run as a Seeker Arc the extra portion could probably run in on 4-6 hr session, disregard if not GM'ing Seeker Arc mode.

Part three I think took my party at least three sessions.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I ran this online, Seeker Arc, and it took 8 sessions (each between 4.5 and 5 hours long).

Ummm... "Module Mode" and "Seeker Mode" are the same length. There are 3 ways to play Wardens of the Reborn Forge.

1. Play just the sections called out in the "Sanctioned Content Key" with normal PFS characters and receive a chronicle for each completed section.
2. Play the entire module with non-PFS characters and receive chronicles when you complete the Sanctioned Content Key sections. Assign these chronicles to your PFS characters as if you were using a pregen.
3. Play the entire module with level 12 (Seeker) PFS characters. Receive chronicles when you complete the Sanctioned Content Key sections and apply it to that character. Upon completion of the entire module you receive a 4th chronicle you can apply to your character.

2 and 3 are the same length (both require playing the entire module including the roleplaying in town sections). "Sanctioned Content Only Mode" would be shorter but I don't know how much more.

Liberty's Edge 4/5 RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2013 Top 16

I've run it twice (in the middle of the 2nd run now) and I find you can do it in about 24-30 hours total.

Karggat Mine level 1: 8-10 hrs
Karggat Mine level 2: 8-10 hrs (plus the Sultur Mill Outpost courtyard)
Megator Facient: 8-10 hrs (plus the Sultur Mill Outpost interiors)

Some of the gug encounters in Karggat Mine level 1 get to be a little repetitive and I recommend skipping 1-2 of the roaming gug encounters. You will know what to skip when you are about to run one and you feel like, "ah geez, not another gug fight."

Sultur Mill Outpost is not sanctioned content, but both of my groups of players chose to do it anyways. It is fairly short and designed so about half of its encounters--the ones in the courtyard and wall towers, including the ash giant and its swarms--can be combined into one big set piece fight. Even so, there's little risk involved for a 13th-14th level party. Having the boss show up towards the end of the courtyard is a fun way to finish the fight. This courtyard fight can fit in toward the end of the same session as Karggat Mine level 2.

The rest of Sultur Mill Outpost--the interior areas of the workshop and mill--can squeeze in at the beginning of the Megator Facient session.

tl;dr I would plan for 3 all-day sessions, or 6-8 standard PFS length 4-5 hour slots.

Our group played it a little faster.

Part A: 8 hours + some city exploration
Part B: 8 hours
Part C: 5 hours (only needed in seeker or campaign mode)
Part D: 6 hours + Finale

You do not have to complete all of Part D you can get what you need and skip the rest.

Just a difference in terminology. I call option one Module Mode, because it is played like a standard PFS module. I call option two Campaign Mode, and option three is obviously Seeker Mode.

Your phrasing at the beginning comes off as more than a little condescending, and not appreciated. Using context it was easy to tell that Thomas was going to be running in either what I refer to as Module Mode or Seeker Mode (not that it matters, but Seeker Mode and Campaign Mode are the same length). And Thomas seemed to be able to tell what I was talking about. So, Belafon, try to be a bit less nitpicky.

Starting the Seeker Mode tomorrow with a table heavy on RP.
i anticipate longer sessions, but sounds about right from the content reviewed.
