New material has been added to the Archives! I know it's been a while: wedding, holiday, all that jazz. With these updates, I should be mostly caught up on books (~3-4 weeks behind). E-mails I definitely need to clear out, but don't let my silence discourage you from e-mailing me if you spot errors/problems, or just have general requests. I do keep a fairly ordering queue of mail and flag every single one that I don't respond to. If you've emailed me and don't have a response, odds are it's on my list and you'll see one soon (I hope).

Enjoy!

[Campaign Setting] Distant Shores
[Campaign Setting] Inner Sea Races
[Module] Feast of Dust
[Player Companion] Heroes of the Streets
[Player Companion] Occult Origins

Site Updates
Due to popular demand, and a more visible presence of requirement in PFS, I've added functionality to display deity-owned subdomains across the board. While I still haven't finished entering the data for all deities, you should see a substantial number of them with the functionality in place (core gods, archdevils, demons, empyreal lords, some others). This is most visible on the individual deity pages, but will also be reflected in the Subdomain listings themselves. I hope to have this fully complete over the weekend.

Backlog
[Adventure Path] Pathfinder #99: Dance of the Damned

Coming Soon (1/1/16+)
[Adventure Path] Pathfinder #100: A Song of Silver

Glad to see you back on track, hope everything went well on that little trip ;)

Can I point out a typo here? Because on the oracle volcano mystery I think it should read "Volcanic Storm" for the eighth level spell, not "Volcanic Swarm". Otherwise, there's a spell called "Volcanic Swarm" that I can't find anywhere.

Scarab Sages

Yup! Looks like I messed that one up on entering, it's fixed now. Thanks!

Would it be possible to add a way to filter searches by source?

Also, since you have a "PFS only" button on the search page, could you please add a "NON-PFS only" button?

137ben: Filtering searches by source is a good idea, but likely too complicated for me to do anytime soon. When I finally am able to get around re-engineering the search, I'll look into this.

As for your other question, with a "NON-PFS only" button... do you mean an option to show only things which *aren't* PFS Legal? That's more doable.

Okay, thanks for considering it at least.

That is exactly what I mean, yes.

To answer the obvious question "what would that feature be useful for", there are a couple reasons:
1. If someone who is familiar with Pathfinder but not PFS is looking at starting PFS, they would want to know what is allowed and what is not. Since there is more content that is allowed than content that is banned, it's easier to look through a shorter list of banned character options than a much longer list of not-banned stuff.
It's similar to the situation where a new player joins an existing (non-PFS) group: it's easier to give them the short list of everything that group bans than a list of everything in every book that is not banned.

2. Having a handy database of all content that PFS banns can be helpful it analyzing trends of what sorts of things the PFS organizers think are ban-worthy, which is informative for its own sake and could be useful in predicting how future content will be recieved by the PFS organizers.

3. I have encountered a handful of GMs who insist on banning everything that is PFS-legal. I'm not going to try to figure out the motives behind such a policy, or defend its merits, but it is out there. People who are playing in a group with one of those GMs would obviously benefit from being able to filter out everthing their GM banned (i.e., all PFS-legal content).

4. If a new book comes out, and a PFS player is considering buying it, they might look through the book on the PRD to see if there is stuff they like (particularly when new subsystems are involved that aren't fully explained on your website). Now, such a player would have to crossreference everything with your website to make sure what they liked from the book was PFS-legal. On the other hand, if you could quickly determine what wasn't PFS-legal, it would be easier to ignore those few items on the PRD.

Of those reasons, I suspect the first and fourth reasons are the biggest (they would help the most people). The second reason is partly what interests me (I'm curious about these sorts of things). The third reason would help players in a particular strain of home game with a somewhat odd banning policy, but that definitely does exist.
