hi recently made a monk and took crane style then crane wing
When fighting defensively with at least one hand free, you gain a +4 dodge bonus to AC against melee attacks. If a melee attack misses you by 4 or less, you lose this dodge bonus until the beginning of your next turn.
If you using the total defense action instead, you can deflect one melee attack that would normally hit you. An attack so deflected deals no damage and has no other effect (instead treat it as a miss). You do not expend an action when using this feat, but you must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed.
my question is what is the full bonus of fighting defencivly? i have 6 ranks in acrobatics so i get the extra +1 so does crane wing bonus stack with the fighting defencivly bonus for +7 or do i take the higher wich is +4?

So you'd get:
+1 Acrobatics Rank 3+
+2 Fighting Defensively
+1 Crane Style
+4 Crane Wing (Until it Triggers, and only against Melee)
Total +8 Dodge Bonus to AC when Fighting Defensively against a Melee attack (at a -2)
After an attack misses you by 4 or less (or if it was a Ranged attack) it drops down to +4 when Fighting Defensively (at a -2).
Dodge bonuses stack.

Crane style and 3 acrobatics makes it a -2 for a +4 dodge bonus to AC.
Crane wing Adds another 4 to your AC but only for the first attack it causes to miss you. Another way to view this is that Crane wing never actually raises your AC, but the first attack to hit you while being less than 5 over your AC you cause to miss
Example normal:
You're ac is normally 20. You fight defensively and it goes to 28. Attacks are made at 21, 29, 27, 27 against you. You'd dodge the first one, get hit by the second, dodge the third and lose 4ac down to 24 and be hit by the fourth.
My way:
You're ac is normally 20. You fight defensively and it goes to 24. Attacks are made at 21, 29, 27, 27 against you. You'd dodge the first one, get hit by the second, "block" the third and be hit by the fourth.
results are the same but for some one way makes more sense or is easier to use than the other.
