Combining Ferocity with Diehard

Rules Questions

So I was reading through some of the orc's racial stuff, and I noticed that some of their racial feats require diehard as a feat.

What happens when you use ferocity with diehard? They both seem to preform a very similar function, keep you on your feet when you would otherwise be unconscious from blood loss.

I don't know if I'm confused by the specifics of the language being used in each of the descriptions or if diehard is meant for orcs with alternate racial traits.

Half-orcs can make better use of those feats. That's who it's meant for.

Ferocity and Diehard do the same thing the first round you're at zero or negative hit points: act as if disabled rather than dying.

After the first round, Diehard continues to allow you to act as if you were only disabled.
