Go nuts, but beware, once you begin assaulting the dam there's no going back and your game ends when you finish. :-)

Wild Card is a blast!

1,600+ posts, we're catching up to Fallout 4. :-)

Not bad. :-)

Liberty's Edge

So Cass' quest glitched out. I'm level 14 now, fixed Rex up with a new brain. That was fun.

To Utah-er, the Brotherhood!

Have you been down the Lonesome Road yet.

It has black storm trooper armor, and more weapons then you'll know what to do with.

And tragically, not all of them are worth the hassle... but I love hunting down Ulysses...

I never found the divide a hassle. It would be nice if Ulysses would speed it up though, that dude talks too much to talk so slowly.

But yes, when I get to the end I don't even let the a*@#@+& go off on his three hours of exposition, I just nuke the f~*~er and then switch to Annabelle (ah, sweet Annabelle) and tear s$#& up.

By the way Lucky, find Black Mountain, there's a radio tower up there, on this radio tower is a Nightkin sniper, take down this sniper and you will get the best weapon in New Vegas.

Sweet, dear, Annabelle.

Liberty's Edge

Black Mountain is where the Super Mutants are at, right? I'm gonna do that after...screw Honest Hearts, I'll do it now.

Started the Brotherhood coup, befriended the Boomers and the Khan's (screw those guys), got kicked out of the White Hats or whatever.

Main story is at the point where I can go to Hoover dam, but I feel underleveled for EVERYTHING.

No no, the Divide is a lovely vacation. But a lot of those stupid damn weapons aren't worth lugging around.

Liberty's Edge

Apparently Anabelle is a missile launcher. I should have known.

Also you'll want to pick up Esther from the Gun Runners.

Fist of Rawr!, a tricked out Red Glare, and Storm Trooper armor was all i needed. the rest i'd bring back and flip in intervals. honestly, i think i made more cash there then the g~!+&~n f&%~ing s#~*hole that is the Sierra Madre.

Eh. When I go unarmed, I usually have superheated Saturnite in my corner long before I get that severed Deathclaw... claw.

Might be my least favorite weapon that we're supposed to like... and heavy to boot!

Well, it DOES look cool.

I love Red Glare's firing rate when you get it jacked up, and the sight, but yes not as wonderful as Annabelle.

Dude! Fist of Rawr! is devastating! especially with an upper cut, criss cross combination! Nothing lives through that, and if they do, they'll wish they hadn't.

But, of course they didn't. :-)

I also always take the perk that halves the weight of heavy weapons, it's pretty much necessary for me. :-)

F~%&ing A right it looks cool!

But it doesn't LIGHT THEM ON FIRE.

And that's the important part.

You'remember confusing me for someone who likes explosives. :)

Is it normal for my service rifle to feel like a pop gun for all the damage it does?

These words, is it possible to use them in a sentence like that...

As far as guns go, can't go wrong with All-American, probably my favorite gun, also Christine's Silenced Sniper Rifle at Big MT, but beware, they love energy weapons and fisticuffs there, almost to a fault. but you'll also get the Super-Heated Saturnite Fist there (give a fist bump to the Toaster for me, also tell Muggy "What up!") so there's definitely reason to go.

Plus the doctors are b!!*%!* crazy. :-)

I am not that big a fan of explosives either. By the time I remember to use them, the bad guys are dead. OTOH, I do love Thump-Thump!

Now I gotta start over to focus on explosives, repair, and unarmed.

Liberty's Edge

Got Speech to 100 at Big Mountain, but my trusty shotgun just isn't packing the punch it used to.

Big MT does that.

Yup, started over.

Starting stats
Strength 7
Perception 6
Endurance 5
Charisma 4
Intelligence 6
Agility 7 (+1 from small frame)
Luck 6

Starting skills: explosives, repair, and unarmed.

Starting perks: Built to Destroy, and Small Frame.

I have a goatee, blue Mohawk, and my name is Flagg.

Easy Pete sure knows his dynamite!

I'm pretty sure I've gotten crits every time.

Those a%**+$%s in the hotel in Primm never saw it coming. Five sticks (two for the front door, 3 for the room full of a#@~&%%s) and one bullet for the a#&&&#% guarding deputy d!%!+@+.

Aw s%%+, found a chopper to go with my hockey mask.

S#@$'s gonna get dark now...

Think I'll go to Repconn and dismember some s+%#.

Mmm... bonus limb damage...

I think this is my fifth time through Repconn.

Yes, yes, I get it, Ghouls is dumb.

Unless they're voiced by Machete.

Stupid ghouls, can't handle me as hockey mask bob.

Well, Jason Voorhes versus zombie hordes isn't much of a contest...

Eventually I'm going to write a story about those dumb f#%! ghouls that flew into the sun.

More likely Chris and I will have a laugh about how f$&#ing stupid they were while we have a beer at the hotel.

I wonder what would happen if I killed everyone after completing their quests...

Probably best not to go down that road.

Funny you mention that Cap'n. I went and cleaned out every settlement in a long bloody massacre. Took a long time and after it was done, well, the Mojave was much much closer to being a bunch of ghost towns.

Not worth it, wouldn't recommend it.

...

Might have killed literally everyone with a presence on the map once, just to prove he could...

Just found some hobo camp at some former Aerotech place.

5th time in, and I'm still finding new places. :-)

^I really should finish my run that I started, oh...around this time LAST YEAR...

Pretty much done anyway; I did all the DLC and just have a few random quests to finish before hoofing it to Hoover Dam.

Definitely a fantastic game and one I enjoyed more than FO3 (though that's just my opinion). Though I did like the selection of radio songs better in FO3...

Unfortunately I doubt I'll do another run anytime soon; time is limited and I've got so many games that I've not even touched.

Where was i...

Maybe i'll do what i've never done.

spread the word about legion atrocities... or not.

Really? That was all, just walk up to some dumb dick soldier and say "the legion is in Nipton, purple monkey dishwasher pass it on" and I get 150 exp.

Maybe the legion isn't as smart as the NCR is thinks it.

And what does that say about the NCR...

Did anyone ever get mission completed remorse.

By that I mean, after you complete a mission you feel like it would've turned out better if you did it the other way.

I feel kinda bad about sticking Primm with the Sheriff from the prison.

And pretty much only because I wanted to rampage against the Powder Gangers.

I remember dumping radioactive waste on the Legion camp before I got the enslaved family out once... that was kind of an "oops."

But really, I just do it differently on the next playthrough, whatever it turns out to be.

Silver Crusade

Okay, Melee focused character, Dani Trejulk.
Tag Skills: Melee, Unarmed, Explosives (I'm not one for subtlety this time around).

Strong Back and Pack Rat traits, because O'Sullivan was starved for carry weight.

Lily died and I can't be arsed to do Cass' quest ATM, so it's currently just me, Boone, and Rex hanging out.

Currently have:
+Actually done Come Fly With Me (hoping to never need a Stealth Boy again).

+Done the bounties. (Nephi's Golf Club was a faithful companion until I got my first taste of Machete Gladius/Power Fist.)

+Killed Benny via Black Widow option. (That was funny.)

+Killed House.

+Killed Caesar.

+Currently thinking of going NCR, but I dread having to deal with the Boomers again, so I went to Utah.

Uppercutting my way through Utah has been fun.

You always have to deal with the Boomers.

Well, I think you can tell Yes-Man you don't care about them, but... they're really a lot of fun. Especially if you're an Explosives slinger.

The Boomers are the best!

Especially the explosive ant nest!

It literally takes three times every play through.

Something about my compulsive need to use explosives.

I just got done reuniting Tabitha and Rhonda, always heartwarming.

Plus it's always fun rampaging up the mountain and rescuing sweet dear Annabelle from that hilariously incompetent Nightkin Sniper.

Scarab Sages

1 person marked this as a favorite.

About 20 levels into a new replay, going melee and explosives. Sweet jesus the chainsaw is a beautiful thing!

Anyway, just finished Honest Hearts and I swear, the Survivalist's journals still bring a literal tear to my eye, even after the fourth play through.

G#!$~+n f*%%ing game freeze!!

Is Lonesome Road not long enough without that b~&@!@&@!

Lonesome Road is too damn long.

I take it in stages. Like, make it to a waypoint for fast travel, then leave for a while. Ulysses can wait.

Liberty's Edge

Did Honest Hearts, now on my way to Dead Money! Wish me luck!

Luck is little help with Dead Money.
