Phantasmal Dreams Encounter Help

Liberty's Edge

One of the encounters I did in a game some months ago has come back with players interested in seeing more of it.

It was an a brief city encounter on the road and the group had hoped to see more of them in every big city.

Phantasmal Dreams a Tavern/Inn that also was a school of Illusion Magic.

Kinda like Fantasy Island meets The Rusty Dragon Inn type feel.
every worker (Barmaid, Waiter, Bartender, etc) where all students of different levels of Illusionary magic. Granted it was also an EXPENSIVE place to stay (A Room costing one platinum Coin) but it would also ALWAYS be the most amazingly expensive room a person could stay in with almost any type of environment.

SO, now the group would like me to invest in more time an effort into this idea I put together when they asked to stay at the most expensive Inn they could find figuring it also be the most secure (and it was).

So the basic history I threw together when I used it was a traveling wizard was tired of all the Inns & Tavern's that seemed to try an entice people with just local color instead of making anything exciting. So wanted a tavern where every night was like a festival, but since they'd need money they also ended up making it into a school. where each employee was a student of the master that owned the place, that normally couldn't afford to pay money so has to work and others that can pay still work (but normally in a higher station such as making the rooms clean and changing the appearance of said rooms as well for guests)

So for such a place how would you GM's try and design NPC's and other backdrops as my PC's would like to see this place more often. I'd never actually gave it much thought beyond the basic tavern/inn run by an Illusion school wizard.

Most thought I put into it mechanic wise was
Specialization Illusion, and likely Prohibited Schools: Evocation & Necromancy.

Maybe a few Sorcerer's trying to learn control and mastery over their own spells as well.

:3 so how would you guys flesh this place out more? I was trying to stay away from the general "It's a Gnome master" But they are themselves Illusion masters.

Maybe one of these days I'll try putting these ideas I keep getting together and make an Adventure Module of my own XD

DESCRIPTION
Where most students need to go out and pay a master or become a servant more than a student in many cases. Students at Phantasmal Dreams are often earning an income for their families while they learn the art of Illusion and magic, as an alternative to stuffy wizard towers and being kept from people, they are instead taught among the regular populace to entertain and give a service.

Gods typically worshipped by members of Phantasmal Dreams are: Desna, Cayden Cailean, Calistria and Shelyn

So this sound like a good thing so far? was trying to put together a list of character types that might come from such a training house. Don't know all the Archtypes out there but I think this works so far?

Any other suggestions?
