I decided to play a Feral hunter. I want to create a sword fighting hunter who shifts for stealth and tracking and also occancionally fights in beast shape. I want to specialise the human form into other things than the shape changed form...
First of all i'm curious about experiances playing the feral hunter, how does the class hold up compared to the other classes?
Secondly does anybody have good advice about what i must take and what not? I prefere a sword of some kind..
Fighting in both human and animal shapes has the problem that many feats, items and spells are best for one or the other. Be aware that trying to do both will make you less than ideal at both, and it's not obvious what you gain by being able to fight both as a lion and a human, say. If you save fighting in wild shape for emergencies underwater or flying it makes a bit more sense.
Past the first couple of levels druids > feral hunter, but if you're not trying to compare directly to a druid you should be OK.
