Trip action while riding a wolf animal companion

Rules Questions

Liberty's Edge

Hello all,

Can a druid's wolf animal companion use the trip action of his bite attack while the druid is riding it?

I may be wrong but I think there is not any rule that forbids it but it does not sound very logical to me due to the weight...

Thank you very much!!!

Weight of what?
And you are right, there is nothing preventing a wolf tripping whilst being ridden.

Liberty's Edge

I just thought that the weight of the druid would limit the wolf's movements but thank you very much anyway.

For further reference the only things that can negate an "on attack special quality" are A: being unable to attack or B:immunity to the condition that it applys (you can't use the trip ability on a centipede) no limits due to how weighed down you are (though if your encumbrance becomes medium you might have problems of a different sort)

So ride away little wolfy rider! Ride away into battle!

Thank you very much!!! Very helpful explanation!!
