Thanks for the reply, Tri! I suppose that leaves some more to reinforce my gaming bookshelf.

I did have a tracking number in the backer kit (open the link in the "last chance to change adress mail received few weeks ago"

Mine have been processed by the frogs this weekend and is now in transit

Good to know. I haven't got a tracking number either. Guess I'll keep bugging the guy at the post office.

Quick Update:

Bill has informed me that almost all of the backer orders for The Blight have been shipped. Apparently there was a problem with the covers of The Blight PHBs which required them to be reprinted, so my understanding is that all of the orders that didn't include the PHB are what has gone out. The Blight PHB is being rush printed and shipped to Bill so that the rest of them will go out shortly.

The Blight Maladies card decks are also not back from printing yet, but rather than hold up orders to wait on them those will be shipped separately when they are received by Bill.

Well, I had wondered why the hardcopy wasn't available yet. I guess that also explains the 5th edition tag on a Pathfinder only book in the FGG store. Hope it doesn't take too long to get those back. It's one of the few items I didn't get from the kickstarter and wanted to pick one up.

Frog God Games

Bill didn't give me a specific date, but he acted like it would not take very long. The print and shipping times on our softcovers are generally much shorter than on our hardbacks. So I wouldn't expect it to take more than a week or so. Especially since it'll be a rush order to fix a printing error that had occurred.

*sigh* seems like I'm one of the few that don't fall under the "almost all" clause. The waiting would drive me crazy if not for the fact that I already opened the PDF, so it's way too late for that hehehe

Me too. My backer kit page still says "Ready To Ship". But I didn't get the Blight PHB, so I shouldn't be in that group of delays...

I've just received the beautiful with lovely quality paper (best I've ever received), WHFRP clone Zweihander - it is a real nice book, and well done rules wise. Like The Blight, it could squash a small unprepared bookshelf. So I'm feeling less sad about still having a waiting to ship notification!

The Zweihander book is gorgeous. I'm really glad they opted to go with a new printer, even last minute, it was definitely worth it.

Hi Guys,

Here's a quick update on shipping that Bill posted on the KS website on Monday:

We have packed everything except for orders containing the Maladies cards and the metal books. The Maladies cards are proofed and go to press very soon, so it will just be another couple weeks. Metal books will be somewhat delayed, as our bookbinder is in Europe until December. We have mailed (or will mail) all of the orders as soon as the cards arrive—metal books will be shipped separately as soon as they are done! Thank you all again for the patience—enjoy those extra poster maps!

Gah, silly patient backer code we got doesn't work. Although I suppose it means I save $70 on shipping.... anyway now to wait for my copy of The Blight*.

*I went for the malady cards

The books have arrived in Australia!!

People kept saying the main book is big, but I really wasn’t expecting just how big!

I’m instantly intrigued by the roachfolk. A dual-wielding roachfolk rogue with razor wheels sounds awesome.

Well done Mr. Pett and FGG!!

I never got mine :(.

I just checked my Backerkit and I have a tracking number but still says pre-shipping.

Quick Question of all these which are finished and shipping so I can send a email to Frog God to notify them?

I haven’t got anything yet either.

I believe those of us who ordered cards need to wait a couple more weeks. Then everything (bar the nuclear books) will be ready.

Yeah everyone who didn't order the cards has shipped, they are waiting on the cards. the initial set was incorrect in some way (I didn't pay attention 'cos I didn't order them) Oh and the PFRPG PHB thingy - I am 5E didn;t get that either!

Yeah, the cards are keeping mine from being shipped. *sigh*

First of all, I am sorry for folks who haven't gotten their goodies yet. Mine came a few weeks ago, but I haven't had a great deal of time to delve into it yet. Almost done chapter three at this point.

Some thoughts:

So far this is the best written RPG supplement I have ever read. Seriously. Yes, there are the usual small typos and misplaced homonyms that plague every monstrously-large, small-press RPG book, but the evocativeness of the language and the atmosphere that is summoned even in rules text is astoundingly good.

The background traits contain some of the best 3rd party traits I've ever read. They capture so much mechanically and flavour wise that I imagine building whole characters around them. I especially like that some of them come with drawbacks.

Seriously though, "Cruel Kin" really gave me the feels. You know when you read an RPG mechanic and it resonates with something in real life? That.

Some of the traits are somewhat powerful but I feel like they fit. And if the GM is on their game in terms of running the setting - they come with not-explicitly set out drawbacks. such as gaining spellike abilities but having a deformity and being slightly offputting to people. (Seems like you'd be more likely to be called out in a witch hunt is all I am saying.)

I really like some of the new subraces, and am so-so on others. The crazy artist elves are pretty wicked and a great take on urbanizing elves.

I dig the new races, especially swyne and the corphagi (cockroach people). Briny are so full of pathos! Night slugs are SO GROSS. I also appreciate the section on residents of the city, it really made me imagine tons of NPCs who would live in the area.

And I like the emphasis on social class. All of the sudden I am like... huh, I want to play a gnome lawyer...

Anyway, not even 1/10 done and I am blown away by this book. It was worth every moment of wait and the team did a bang up job. Bravo.

Seriously though this book made me imagine a gnome lawyer suing for the personhood of flesh golems and that alone made it worth the purchase price.

Shortstone and Shortstone: Attorneys

Their practice was built on litigating freedom for goblin pets and for human rights for awakened animals...

This will be their hardest case ever - establishing that flesh golems are people and cannot be treated as chattel and must be paid for their labour.

Funded by a consortium of undead rights and labour groups, brother and sister legal team Shortstone and Shortstone is going up against the most powerful economic interests in Castorhage.

Is Beltane secretly backing this upstart crew as part of his plan for undead domination?

... I really want to write an adventure based on this idea now. The Blight is awesome.

Nasty customs bill paid, my Blight had arrived!

Bizarrely with an extra TB4 in PF (I play and ordered 5e) and FOUR extra 5e GM's Guides... are they breeding, will my house soon be over run? I'm scared.....

lol oh no, don't let them escape.

Bless you cycnet, I'm very glad it's inspiring some thoughts - that's as much as anyone can hope for when writing settings such as this beast, and yes Flash they do breed, I'm missing a ferret and I'm pretty sure my copy of the Blight has eaten it and that I'll open the pages one day and find a desiccated flat ferret looking at me in horror.

You'll notice inside my corpulent Blighty love that the setting was itself inspired by Pellinore and the City League which appeared in Imagine magazine and inspired me to get writing, hope you'll do the same cycnet and we'll see some settings growing from this baby into something even stranger in the future.

It'll be interesting to see how reviews (which I hope we'll see) look at the big lassie, but my hopes have begun to be realised by your thoughts and I really hope others follow suit. I'd love to see some Blight adventures by others shared or published, one reason I asked Brandon Hodge and Al Rigg to be infested by her when we started work on the last drafts.

Huzzah and thank you kindly, keep reading, keep her away from pets and food and make sure she's always kept in a locked cupboard when it's dark. You might find leaving the odd dead rat or mole in with her might keep her slumbering.

I received my package today but didnt get either of the deluxe maladies listed on the packing slip. Are we still waiting on them?

I also didnt receive the poster map - am i remembering correctly that that was another monstrous size a la Bards Gate?

I did get 5 extra copies of the map folio though and a third copy of the core book. :/

Hi Steve,

The deluxe maladies should have been included in your order. There wasn't a monstrous map as with Bard's Gate, though. Ping Zach and he should help get you squared away. Sorry for the mixup!

My Maladies cards arrived alone on Monday in a small envelope. I panicked for about 24 hours, and then the books showed up on Tuesday. I was worried about import duty into NZ (given Sqn Cdr Flashheart's posts) but I didn't get hit... guess my order came in below the taxable level.

Had a quick flick through last night (never got chance to read anything, was prepping for my session tonight) and it looks great. Can't wait to start reading it over the weekend!

I got the maladies even before the book, but at least the book is already near my own. Unluckily it found its way into custom office, where it is waiting for me.

I didn't warn them though. They think they already know something about corruption? I guess in the meantime they know better :D

No worries, Patrick. Bill got in contact with me and sorted it out - the poster map is part of the folios so we're all good. (Sounds like they were expanded from the KS as a kind of "lateness bonus", but I confess I don't really track the FGG kickstarters once I've pledged so I don't really remember..).

It also looks like the maladies were shipped separately, so hopefully they'll arrive in the next few days.

Thanks for keeping tabs. :)

Got mine a couple days ago, very excited! The book hasn't quite broken the shelf yet, and the maladies deck came in a separate box.

Still waiting on the book, I got the maladies cards - which was good. But if they were be packed separately then why wait to send the big book out? The only reason I can think of is to justify the ludicrous shipping charges - where the non-US consumer ends up paying $70+ and the actual postage is nearer $40 (whilst the packaging still doesn't stop the tomes from being dinged)

*complaint might be due to paying another $80 on shipping for QoD4

It's been a week since I got my book but still have no sign of the maladies cards. May I ask those who received them separately if the delay was that significant?

Happy to wait, but it does seem like if they were shipped together they should probably be closer than a week apart.

Mine was next day.

Yay, I've now got The Blight book. Of course due to FGG mislabelling the package (saying the cards were in there) I had to pay £13 VAT.

Steve, may I suggest you contact either Zach at zach@froggodgames, or Krista at krista@froggodgames.

A couple of folks (including myself) have posted the question about the non-physical aspects of this KS - the seven Pathologies which were pushed towards the end of the KS as well as the 'Scoured to the Bone' Novella - on the Kickstarter Campaign page but there's been no word about them since September (if not before)... it would be good to know, especially as I am about to launch into my Levee campaign, a couple of things:

a) What are the Pathologies going to be? Titles, synopses, whatever...
b) When can we expect to see them?

Also, having read and enjoyed 'Crooked', I'd like that second slice of twisted fiction from Mr Pett. Does anyone have any insight as to what is planned for these 'treats'?

I'd post the questions over on the Blight KS page but I'm not convinced FGG are particularly looking at that these days.
