And they release ANOTHER Kickstarter. That will probably be fulfilled before the Blight.
I just talked to my bank about the delay and they said given that it is more than double the expected time to fulfill the Kickstarter they would allow me to back charge it if I want. Still debating if I want to pull the plug on this one.
If I PayPal you what you pledged, would you stop going on about it and just sit back and wait til you get your free book?
The world should be a positive place.

Thank you but my main annoyance was that I paid a significant amount for something that isn't of use to me anymore (we started my next campaign and rotate gms so it may be years before I need another). I am sure FGG will refund and that will be the end of it. I do hope it's an awesome product once it arrives for everyone.

Fair enough. We do the same (I've had similar situations to you over the years with planned product taking longer than expected and missing a gaming "window"). Im lucky that I enjoy reading RPG books for entertainment just as much as when I actually use them. Hope whatever you come to works out for you.

Steve Geddes wrote:Happy to buy it for you as a gift, if you like (via PayPal or paizo store credit maybe?) At least that way you'll eventually get the book (which will be great, I'm sure).Hey buy one for me, I promise I'll stop badmouthing the Frogs ;)
On reflection, given gamers' natural aptitude for interpreting text in...productive ways, it's possible I should have made the offer in private... :p

You are right. Way too much annoyance over an rpg product. I am going to request a refund from FGG instead of my bank and just be done with this one.
Good luck to everyone waiting it out.
No luck is needed, just patience. Out of 16 total crowdfunding projects, 12 have been delivered, 2 are in the delivery window, 1 is brand new, and The Blight is out of development and now in editing. It's up to you whether waiting through all of the delays and getting out right before the end makes sense for you.

ps--when Greg says half-done--he means all-written, half edited and developed. Actually the hard half (rules heavy) is done; as well as most of the supporting books (new module in pdf this weekend I think).
Players guide and last module are in 5e conversion--so no, its not that much longer.
Why did I have to search for this on Paizo's site instead of reading about it on the official Kickstarter page? People might not be as bothered if you actually told us what was going on in once place instead of in scattered places all over the Internet.

I laught out loud when Frits Kuijlman asked for part 2 and 3 now that part 1 was almost finished. You should really have made such an announcement as you April 1st joke. :D
But on a more serious note, I'm glad that you can finally see the end at the tunnel. Personally I don't care too much because I will probably have to wait some more years anyways, before I can present it to my kids. But this should maybe put an end to the constant bickering about when it gets published.

Not that I disagree (I would be totally up for that) but I'm actually ready for anything that Rich might come up with next. Hm, now that I think about it, I would love to see them produce a whole adventure path for the blight setting
For what it's worth, there is an entire adventure path included inside the main Blight book, one of the reasons that thing is pushing 1,300 pages.
If you mean ANOTHER AP set in the Blight, I can't argue with your gluttony. :)

I can't wait for this. As someone who wasn't even using kickstarter when this was a thing (and as such doesn't have any investment on the line)- all I'm seeing is massive delays for a massive book, that will be amazing when we get it.
So, uh, refunds outside, there's at least one person who is planning on buying this one once it's released.

Oh great, now I'm imagining Castorhage with a bunch of Corpokineticists running around.
...
I'm a little worried by how well this seems to fit.

Word just came down the pipe that one of the next rewards (TB5: Children of the Harvest) is done, and should be getting sent out to those who pledged for it soon. Hooray for progress, eh? XD
I love the idea of words coming down the pipes of the Blight, that needs expanding on GM, slither, slither. Mr Bill Webb has been taken by Sister Blight, yarp...

Just finished skimming the new modual. And it's already given me cause to use my Evil GM Laugh.
One of my current crop of vict... PCs has a pair of swirling tattoos on her inner arms. Also in her back-story, her home village was destroyed when she was quite young by the neighbouring villages...
Thanks!

I do have to say, Children of the Harvest is effed up, and it is glorious. I skimmed over it this afternoon while working through some other stuff the Frog God has me working on. Good stuff.

Any updates on the status of the book?
I believe this is still the latest news on when the main book might be ready:
Greg just posted an update. We have a date!

Here's a short and sweet update:
"Once More Unto The Breach!!
Posted by Frog God Games (Creator)
We're back from the back-to-back cons of Paizo and North Texas and are once more hard at work on The Blight. And we've got great news...we're still basically on track for our end-of-July/beginning-of-August release!!!
Chuck is hard at work with layout and is close to completing it for the PF version of the book. It should go to the printer in about a week or so.
The maps have all been completed and final corrections and minor adjustments are being made.
Art is done and already in layout in the book.
5e and S&W conversions are moving along and will go into layout and then on to the printer after the PF version.
Richard has sent me the manuscript for Scoured to the Bone, which I am about to turn over for editing.
And the various softcover offerings (Players' Guide, PHB, GM Guide, etc.) are all more or less done using the completed files from the main book. They will go to printing after the main book (their print time is much less).
The final pieces of the puzzle are the Malady cards and the Pathologies pdfs. I will be turning my attention to the Malady cards now to get them to the printer shortly.
I've got completed or near-completed manuscripts for 4 of the 7 pathologies and the beginnings of same for the last 3. Like Scoured to the Bone, these are pdf-only products so there is no print time involved and have been as a result left for last. We will be completing them when all of the stuff that needs to go to the printer is to the printer. So we're in good shape on them.
So as far as I can tell, we're still looking good to start mailing out backer orders at the beginning of August.
We're on the home stretch here at last! Thanks for your patience!!
Greg"

I pretty much acquired most-to-all of The Blight products in the Kickstarter.
Just to make sure I'm up-to-date, I've received 5 module PDFs and 1 Tome of Blighted Horrors so far from Frog Gods. Is that about right with their current releases so far?
Loving everything so far!
Sounds about right to me. The update above gives the status of the remaining items.

Thanks, KarlBob.
You're welcome.
Ok--all ancillary books are at the printer...
Pathfinder and 5e books are laid out and being proofed.
SW main book is next in layout.
Staff almost dead. Delivery in August (finally). Just the cards to go.
Woo hoo! The stars are aligning, and the human sacrifices are coming along nicely. Soon the prophesied time will arrive.

I'd've recommended sticking with a regular update, myself - even if it's nothing more than "Still on track for [next checkpoint]", consistent updates on a set schedule help to establish and maintain trust, especially for first-time crowdfunding participants. Still, it's good to hear that things are moving along. ^^
