So I was cruisin' around the Art of Swords Tumblr, lookin' at the cool weapons and drawing inspiration for my Pathfinder characters when I came across this axe.
I'm curious as to how I'd stat this axe for a character. I imagine using the Weapon Versitality feat from the Undead Hunter's Handbook would allow me to switch from hacking with the axehead to skewering with the spear component, so it doesn't necessarily need to reflect the dwarven urgosh, which is similar in principle.
What primarily confuses me is the length. Handaxes are described as about one foot in length, while this axe is about 27.5 inches, over twice as long. Would that make it a battleaxe? Dwarven waraxe? Thanks for your advice. :)

You said it already, it seems the closest to the urgrosh.
Which is basically a battleaxe/spear combo.
If you want to ignore the spear side, then its just a battleaxe.
It is not a dwarven waraxe.
You could use feat you mention, to do piercing damage with a battleaxe.
Or you could use the same feat to just take exotic weapon proficiency in the urgrosh
Or if your a dwarf, you get it as a martial proficiency for nothing.
If you're human, you can take the adoptive parentage racial trait (replaces your bonus feat) to get the whole dwarven weapon familiarity and achieve the same result (plus a few other weapon profs and languages).

It's about the size of a battleaxe but with the added spear tip. It doesn't strictly fall into any single pathfinder weapon, so I'd say make it an exotic weapon that works as a battleaxe/spear combo. Alternatively, just say the spear tip is not really made for stabbing but just a pointed cap on the weapon and just call it a regular battleaxe.

PFS or Home game?
For PFS, I think your idea of Versatile Weapon works best, using stats for a battleaxe.
For a home game, small size halberd (at a 27inch overall length, I'd say it's probably meant to be used one handed), and talk to your DM about nixing the size penalty. Or ask about making it a new weapon, say an exotic weapon akin to a one handed halberd.

Thanks for the advice, folks. Looking at the advice, I think it'd probably be a battleaxe with Versatile Weapon.
Urgoshes are double-weapons, so they come with the implication that the spearpoint's on the opposite end of the axehead, and judging by the length it's probably too short to be a halberd.
Thanks everyone! :)
