Tablet friendly character sheet

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Hi everyone

I couldn't quite find a digital character sheet that worked as I wanted for my group, they were either too advanced, large or too simple.
So I made my own in google sheets.
I'm aiming for it to be tablet friendly, responsive and still require the players to understand and go through the standard character generation process.

If any of you want to try it out and give me some feedback, maybe do some bug testing, i'd appreciate it.

Grey fields are auto-generated.
Yellow fields are those players frequently change.
Make a copy of it by going to "File - Make a copy" after you open it.

On tablets you can use the Google Sheets app.

Thank you.

This tiny one seems to be working.

The messageboard seems to be removing the hashtag if I use the full url...anyways glad you got it working.

I take it none of your players have played a Monk. There isn't a Wisdom bonus for AC or CMD. This is the reason I created my own.
I also did the same thing when I created a Black Blade Magus.
Even my Arcane Duelist Bard which doesn't have Versatile Performance still has more than two Perform skills.

I will still download it and give it a shot.

When I download the file as excel or open office, it SQUISHES some of the cells like WIS and others. This doesn't download very well. I don't know how others are affected.

I haven't tried it in Excel or Open Office. Maybe i'll look into it.

The reason I wanted it in Google Sheets is because i'm going to share the character sheets individually with my players with editable permissions and have them use Google Sheets, that way I always have the latest character sheets since they sync, and it makes it possible for me to pull data from all character sheets into my GM sheet(I use a sheet to track initiatives, npc's, story hooks and all sorts of campaign info)

Downside is that you have to have a Gmail account.
Plus side is that it's free.
Google Chrome can make Google Sheets files available and editable offline.
Google Sheets app(IOS and Android) can make the files available and editable offline as well.

You're right in your assumptions :) I haven't had any Monks in any of my groups. I'll update it and and a manual Wizdom bonus for AC and CMD. Thank you for spotting it.

So Arcane Duelist Bard needs more Perform Skills ?
How many should I add ?

@ngc7293
On second thought, regarding Monk bonuses, i've added 2 Misc to CMD instead and added notes to them.
On AC i've added an Misc2 - I'm thinking it should be enough with 2 Misc in AC
Does this work for you or am I missing something ?

Misc probably works better.

Something else I noticed. I don't know how to deal with this without adding tables. When you get to 6th level, as you know your BAB goes to 6/1 (full BAB). You are not able to reflect this in the Weapons Tab.
It doesn't add your Strength in either.

Then there is Dex to Damage. But if you say no to that in your game, then you have no problems.

You can look up Versatile Performance. A normal bard can use several perform skills to replace other skills. I have never played a full bard.
Here is a list of all the bard perform skills:
act
comedy
dancy
keyboard
oratory
percussion
sing
string
wind

Most sheets have two slots like you have but have several empty ones at the end. I suppose you could make a sheet that has more Perform skills if you know you are going to have a bard in the party. Many Bard Archetypes lose Versatile performance though.

@ngc7293
Thank you for the feedback :)
I have added BAB 2, 3 and 4 on the main sheet and added them to the melee and range attacks table on the Weapons/Armor sheet.
I have also added 6 empty skill slots
Does this work alright ?

Do we ever use BAB 2,3,4 in CMB and CMD ?

The only problem I had (though this could have been with Open office vs. Google Docs) was that the first BAB on the MAIN page stayed blank. It was as if the number was in White instead of black because the number I entered worked fine. I entered the next number over and that worked fine

No. It is only used for calculating Attacks.

Basically this sheet works fine. But there are feats that will give you issues. An Archer with Rapid Shot can get an extra attack. A Monk's Flurry of Blows can get more than 7 attacks and then he can add in more with a KI point.

Standard characters with this sheet will work fine. It's just the non standard ones.

What ever happens, I think this will be a work in progress. Your first game will tell you what you need to do to your next sheet.

Thank you.

For future reference, when you post a web address to an off-site page the servers usually randomly insert a space to make it non-functional. In your link the space is right before the underscore character. That is why everyone is getting an error when they copy-paste your link into their browsers. I believe this is an anti-spam measure. You can avoid the problem by using the url tags described in the "How to format your text" section at the bottom of the page. It works like this...

Here is your page.
