Where can I find someone to build a character for me?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I need a Alchemist/Wizard level 15ish for an NPC in a campaign I'm running.

Is there some place I can go where people will volunteer to build this character for me?

I'm not very good at optimizing and I want her fully optimized for combat.

Details to come if I find someone to do it.

Try and look in this thread:

Ravingdork's Crazy Character Emporium.

Ravingdork has a page somewhere in the internet where all his creations (dozens, if not hundreds) gather together and wait to be downloaded.

Yes, Paizo will do it for you. May not be a perfect Alchemist/Wizard, but you are all but guaranteed to find an NPC that fits the bill rather quickly. Otherwise, if you really want it built from scratch, I'd suggest using a program like Hero Lab because it REALLY cuts down on the creation time. You may find someone here with time and energy to build such an NPC, but they'll more than likely want quite a bit more information.

The Exchange

I would strongly suggest you build it yourself. If someone else builds you a fully combat optimized character the odd are you would still have to work really hard to run it in a fully optimized way because you won't know all the ins and outs. I woulld recommend that you build one and then let someone whose opinion you trust look over it and give you tips to improve it. That way you will know what the character can do and will help you learn how to build npcs.

there are some NPCs on the srd: lvl 15 Wizard

For what it's worth the OP wants optimized characters. For the most part, the NPC codex has rather poorly built characters. They attempt to be flavorful and interesting, rather than the most powerful mechanically.

Now that aside, why are you combining alchemist and wizard? Alchemist just don't really add much to what a wizard can do.

An alchemist main abilities are extra (worse spell casting than the wizards), bombs, and mutagens (meh, I guess extra con or dex could be alright but still not really worth it).

If you want a wizard who dabbles in alchemy that's pretty easy to do though. Pick up brew potion feat. Pick up Signature Skill for skill unlock craft(alchemy), and use the new crafting rules from Pathfinder Unchained.

Hero Lab is kinda pricy if you want the supporting goodies, but then again, the best spells and class are in the CRB. Case in point, I purchased a lot of the Hardbacks second-hand from Amazon and discovered that Hero Lab only beat that when it came to purchasing the paperback Chronicles and such... I'm a bit of a luddite I guess for being reticent to pay only for E-Copies when I love the feel of printed material.

Yet again I find myself agreeing with Claxon, this time on the NPC Codex. Two level sevens solved their CR19 Dragon Disciple in a set-piece for example, rocketing us both to Level 11 in the process. Granted I had to scrape up my friend's ashes for resurrection from a third party, but hey, a win is a win.

My contribution to your question: look at all these optimized L11 builds people are posting for their PFS progression, choose something that fits you, and use those final four levels to do a final fitting tailored to what you will be able to play. I think these Pathfinder Society adventurers are some of the most hard, legal, and competitive critters out there. Rules and limitations breed innovation and evolution. Just look at real life racing for example.
