Peter, I don't disagree with a lot of your basic ideas. I am fairly conservative and pretty religious. BUT the way you are expressing them is ruining ANY point you are trying to make. If your desire is to persuade others, then behave in a way that is actually persuasive. If your desire is instead to cause anger and flame wars then by all means continue, but I request you do it somewhere else. I rather enjoy this community and what you are doing here is destructive.
Arguments are best won with logic and lost with emotion.

I would like to take a moment to remind everyone participating in this thread that many people are required to be on these boards for work, and could do without the added stress of a riled-up man espousing homophobic and racist beliefs and demanding everyone's real names immediately after advocating for gun violence.

I know this isn't the proper part of the forums to get into moderation policy, but I was wondering if keeping this thread open, with posts seemingly intact is a sign of a shift in policy, or there is just other stuff going on.
Note: I only read a handful of posts, and my sarcasm detector has not been activated by caffeine yet, so I have no opinions about the content, except that it seems many of the posts would have been removed in past threads. Again, not enough coffee for my brain to work properly yet...

Removed a large swath of posts/replies and locking (sorry, there are some of these that were too egregious to leave up, if there were any posts you wanted for reference, contact community@paizo.com).
Historically, we've been very forgiving and open to folks who post long rants in the Off-Topic subforum. Our staff is revisiting our decision to allow long (particularly those that are politically charged) rants on our site (this is on the whole, not just those that break our Community Guidelines). We aim to be a fun and friendly community of gamers, and there are plenty of other spaces on the internet for these posts.
Additionally, we've also historically not expounded upon suspensions or actions taken against any account. However, I feel due to the severity of the actions taken in this thread, and that there may be folks who may feel that they are not safe on our site, it is appropriate to disclose that this account has been permanently suspended from our community. To shed light on our decision, we do not tolerate these behaviors: demands for personal information from other users, repeated direct baiting of other users, intentional escalation of conversations, disparaging comments based on religion (or any other disposition), or extreme negative assumptions about other community members (including accusations of sock-puppetry or deliberately lying in the conversation).
