Strategy guide return ?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

What about strategy guides for

- Base classes (Alchemist, Cavalier, ...)
- Hybrid classes (Arcanist, Bloodrager, ...)
- Occult classes (Kineticist, Medium, ...)
- Alternate classes (Antipaladin, Ninja, ...)
- Unhcained classes (...)

Without a strategy guide for each kind of classes the strategy guide for the core classes is near useless.

Except that the Strategy guide is clearly intended as a bridge between the beginner box and the Core Rule Book.
For that purpose, it is far from worthless.

Yeah. The way I figure, by the time you understand the game past using the strategy guide you don't really need a strategy guide for the rest of the classes. That or you're game savvy enough to figure out that there are optimization guides online.

Got ya covered on 3 fronts, Wizjolnir.

More on topic though, I actually agree here. While physically attractive guide writers like myself are a great resource, it would be nice to get some more hands on talk from developers on how they see these classes being played in the way that the strategy guide does, although really I don't think another hardcover is needed. Maybe a blog about it would work for each new class, get some of the dev's fave tricks for classes that haven't been discovered yet.

I knew you considered yourself an physically active guide writer, but I did not know that. :-)

That's an amazing quote.
