feat / trait hunting for the unlucky

Advice

is there a feat or trait that would help out a player that is unlucky. something to counter act the players bad luck so the character can survive. because i am very unlucky >.> bad luck follows me like a dark cloud... thank you unlucky drawback trait. no i don't have that trait on any of my character sheets.

Measured Response, a feat for Abadar worshippers, grants you average damage on every attack roll.

Also, the general consensus is bad luck is always fixed with good character planning.

For example, you could play a Cleric (who has good saves an AC all around) and focus on casting spells that force enemies to roll, and not you.

well that would cover the constant ones i roll for damage

Dark Archive

Building around bad luck is difficult as some people have such terrible luck that even if they need to roll 2 nat 1's to die they will still manage it.

You have to consider that in the end the game is stacked against the players as eventually you will fail a check all you can do is have options so that even if you roll terribly you wont instantly die.

The Exchange

Make your enemies roll saves instead of you...be a wizard / witch :P

Silver Crusade

Second Chance trait sounds right up your alley, reroll any save once a day, it's basically the best.

If your campaign doesn't use hero points, there are a few "Luck" feats for humans that emulate the +8/+4 bonuses and reroll abilities. Might help.

Grand Lodge

Please give some examples of this "bad luck", in terms of gameplay.

Is it just rolling poorly?

um its not in game play if i need to roll to save the hostage i will roll a one and end up killing the hostage. i try to help a friend i end up putting them in danger because i rolled a one. i don't gamble i rl because i know i will not win. i don't play FPSPVP games because i know that i will cause the team to fail..... >.> really i should not play PF/D&D because my luck is that bad. you could ask my friends >.> though they think i am doing it on purpose.

That trait doesn't show up in Hero Lab. Do you know where it's from?

Silver Crusade Contributor

You might try Called, from Quests & Campaigns. It lets you reroll a natural 1 on an attack roll once per day.

Grand Lodge

You simply build to not need to roll.

Build a Witch.

d20 says it's from Faiths of Purity. I don't have my copy on hand verify, but I've never seen it be wrong about a source before so I'm going with that's my final answer.

I thought it might be...

It's actually called Lessons of Chaldira. Check with your GM before taking it, as it normally requires you to worship a specific deity.

(This is why I switched to linking Archives of Nethys, where possible - d20pfsrd cuts out important information for copyright reasons.)
