Soooo....the DLCS....

Conversions

I bought the DLCS (Dragonlance Campaign Setting) in the Non-mint sale from Paizo (so don't have it yet from them) yesterday with the expectations of using it directly with pathfinder. I don't think it should be too hard to use with PF (as I believe it is 3.5).

I intend on using it with a core rules only version of PF, which should make it easy enough.

I'm thinking about changes that I should make in regards to it however...such things as with the Wizard of High Sorcery class...I think the DLCS has them with a d4HD...changing that to a D6 HD?

Things like that.

Any suggestions (in regards to the entirety of the DLCS...so anything with the DLCS to Pathfinder conversion with specifically the DLCS for 3.5 edition corebooks).

There should be a guide to converting 3.5 to Pathfinder around somewhere, and that should be all you need. I just looked through it, and didn't see anything that would require special attention, but it was admittedly a quick look. Things like full casters moving up to d6 hd, merging spot, listen, and search into perception, etc.

Thanks, didn't find that thread.

Glad to help! :-)

There was actually a pretty lengthy conversion on these threads a few years ago. The discussion went on for a while.

Liberty's Edge

I ran DLC in AD&D2E and it was so much fun. I skimmed the 3E version but I couldn't tell you if they stand up to the originals or not. It was one of the best campaigns I ran in 2E and I heartily recommend it.

Yes, Dragonlance was either the best or 2nd best campaign setting for D&D of all time. Only Planescape might have been slightly better.

The original series of modules were some of the best ever written for the game. If you can find them cheap at a game store or online, I recommend picking them up.

Pssst .... the original modules were 1st ed. But the line continued well into 2E.

I have the original modules. I also have the 3.5e ones that remade them and the other three that were their own arc. (so I guess that means modules continued into 3e/3.5 also!) :)

DL is my favorite campaign setting. Anyone interested in running a game in Pathfinder rules?
