So, I'm the ACG Venture-Lieutenant for DFW. And I would absolutely love to get some ACG action going at BoardGameGeek Con. However. . . there's a problem. I just moved to Texas in April. BGGCon sold out in early March. So I can't get a ticket to get in!
From what I can tell BGG Con is not like most cons. The organizers deliberately keep the attendance small. The ticket requests have been overwhelming (the waiting list is relatively huge). Unlike most cons where you can volunteer your time to get a free ticket, you need to already have a ticket to volunteer at bggcon.
I'd love to be there with the you at BGGCON. But unless something surprising happens, there won't be PACG Organized Play at the convention.

Yeah Boardgamegeek pulled back a few hundred tickets from last year. It just felt too crowded, and this isn't a convention where you pay premium dollars to get in and then make you queue for everything and shell out more $ for anything fun
Last year I ran a PACG marathon, which petered out after about 4-6 hours. We are wusses.
If you volunteer with one of the attending vendors your tickets will be covered. But I bet many of those spots are filled
PS. DGM is this weekend, you should pop along!
