Hi everyone,
Is there appetite for another Siege of Serpents table, starting November 5th?
Just post here what character you would like to sumbit for this game and I will see whether there is enough appetite and what level range we end up with. I prefer to run Standard, but if most sign-ups are for a Core table I will run that.

This is recruitment for a Pathfinder Society game. Build rules are as per global campaign rules (see link)
Ben: good to have you onboard! Only 3 more to go.
I won't be posting here until October 27th due to holiday, will check in again at that time.

I'd be interested in this. I have a couple of character slots I've filled with GM credit and don't have actual characters built for, so I could bring in a 2nd level something. I've been toying with the idea of either a melee-focused grenadier or a promethean alchemist (with his homonculous). I suppose the needs of the group could determine which I'd bring into play. Grenadier could give some front-line help, the promethean would be skill monkey with range focus while the homonculous would basically be a rogue.
If it were to go core, I could do that, but it would have to be a non-chronicled 1st level character.
EDIT: I just looked through my characters again and realized I could use my occultist for this as well. I haven't rebuilt him yet to update to the book (as opposed to the playtest), but he'll be a battle host archetype, so definitely frontline, but also a really high int because he's an occultist. Therefore, three choices. Just waiting to see what the party needs.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Okay, so at present, it looks like a party of:
Kineticist-ranged attacks
Summoner-frontline beasties and casting
Oracle of Nature-Divine casting and healer
Investigator-skill monkey and party face
and then I could add my battle host occultist for frontline.
It's very possible I'm off on my generalization of character roles, but this looks like a decently balanced party to me.

According to an earlier post from GMG, he/she will be away on holiday until this Tuesday (the 27th). I would imagine final word on character choices will happen Tuesday or Wednesday and the additional threads will appear shortly thereafter.
PFS does allow 7 member tables if needed to accommodate players, so we may all make the cut. Party at present is:
Kineticist-ranged attacks
Summoner-frontline beasties and casting
Oracle of Nature-combat buffer, healer, melee support, and socialite
Investigator-skill monkey and party face
Battle Host Occultist-melee beast and int skills
Occultist/Melee Witch/Inquisitor-varying skills, assuming pick to fill needs
Inquisitor-melee, some casting, and animal companion providing scouting
Possible, again, that my overgeneralizations for skills may be a touch off, but probably in the ballpark, at least. Kind of hoping to see how that melee witch works. I'm guessing scarred witch doctor?

Quick update from holiday: is everyone fine with 7 players?
We are aiming at tier 1-2: I want to have at most one lvl 3: more would be overpowered with 7 players.
Thanks Balinor for making the summary. Gameplay and discussion will be open next week. I still need to get official approval to run this game as part of online gameday 4, expecting to get it (I have the scenario)

Glad to help. Thought it would make your holiday (and return therefrom) easier.
I'd say we look solid for 7 players given the variety of our skills and specializations.
Recapping character levels, I think we have:
Kineticist-1st
Summoner-3rd
Oracle of Nature-2nd?
Investigator-2nd
Battle Host Occultist-2nd
Occultist/Melee Witch/Inquisitor-1st
Inquisitor-2nd
So that would meet your desire for no more than 1 3rd level character (or none if Chyras opts for the unidentified 2nd level character)

You got the hair part right, but that's all ;)
It's a natural attack build. The main melee come from being a Claw Attack Tengu White Haired Witch. The character is basically done, just needs some tweaks. It may end up not even being a Witch till 2 or 3, since 2 levels of a Fiend Totem Unchained Barbarian will be getting added at some point, I may just start with Barbarian for survivability and bring that. Same character with a couple reversed levels.
After the first 3 levels, I haven't even decided which way to take him lol.
