hello recently my game has reached a point were i have a follower, the dm has him at 2 lvls lower than me currently im at lvl 3 so i need to make a brand new character that can be usefull to a party thats 2 lvls higher than him.
my party currently has a paladin for tank, a cleric for healing, a wizard for spells and a zen archer for skills and damage.
so my question is what can i make thats 2 lvls lower that will actually be usefull?

Sounds like you guys either need a Skill Monkey, or a Support-type character with buffs.
As VRMH stated, the Bard can fill both of the roles quite nicely. The Bard can be great for a Skill Monkey, as they have 6 Skill Points/Level, have Bardic Knowledge, and other such goodies for a base. However, if you want them to be more Combat-oriented, I would suggest an archetype that caters them to more of a Buff-Bot and/or Crowd Control. I personally recommend the Arcane Duelist archetype, since it makes them more combat-savvy. The Bard has some extremely unique buffs with their Performances, and later down the road, Shadowbard becomes priceless.
If you don't like Bards, a Rogue or Skald are also solid choices. As is an Investigator, Alchemist, etc.
