Hey all, I've been wanting to play an Inquisitor for a while now and one of the things I've been having issues with is concern over his inquisition (Torture) by other players and the fact I can't find a deity that would suit him.
I built him to mostly be more of role play type character who has a good chance of getting information out of others without having to resort to physical torture along with making it very hard to lie to him. I want to keep him lawful neutral.

The three deities associated with Torture are Asmodeus, Calistria and Norgorber.
If you want to be Lawful Neutral, Asmodeus is your only option.
If you wanted to play a Cleric instead, I believe you could select the Separatist archetype and make Torture your second "domain", since Clerics can select Inquisitions in place of domains (it's just not usually very beneficial, because you don't get any domain spells).
Odd that Torture is a legal option, given Campaign Leadership's previous decisions regarding its use in PFS.

Well, originally, their decision was that it is always evil. They only banned Profession (Torture) because people kept trying to come up with corner case arguments for why it was not evil for their character and Mike Brock got tired of arguing.
So you can have torture domain. But if you use Torturer's Touch, that is gonna be an evil act, and probably necessitate an alignment shift.

If you want purely natural interrogation, then an Inquisitor can end up with a very high Sense Motive skill. Sense Motive will detect the lies, but you'll also want some combination of Bluff, Diplomacy, and/or Intimidate to get them talking in the first place.
If you're willing to consider magical interrogation then one's options bloom. Charm Person for example is a fantastic interrogation tool along side more traditional options like Zone of Truth or divination magic.

I have a vague recollection that at one point he didn't and it got corrected.
But that may have been a different deity.

I should have worded it as "It would be on par with not giving Nethys the magic domain."
