I've been trying to play the base set solo. Every time I've died in scenario two. I've tried the summoner, inquisitor, and now paladin. Now I'm just curious if anyone has managed to.
I've been playing by the book, so dying means starting over. (Ok, it could also mean trying again with an unimproved character, but that seems harder.)
I played Raz through it and didn't die but I did run out the deck a few times. I think it took 3 times to get through it.

I don't have Raz, where are they from?

Y'all should read the blog tomorrow.
(Also, Raz is from the Paladin Class Deck.)

Made it past scenario two with the hunter. All I got out of it was a bat, but cohort plus hand crossbows and a pair of cure spells kept her quite strong.

I've gotten as far as the final base scenario solo.

The irritating thing was that I never thought to ask why people weren't using Vinst the way it was intended. And I never looked back to check that it simply wasn't working as intended. That's all on me.
I used him when I tried my solo summoner run just because I had a terrible wisdom/survival check. I still died in the end though.

I saw Vinst as potential useful for these situations, as well as saving yourself from banishing an inordinate amount of weapons (or having no weapons) at the Watchtower.
Current Vinst is awesome.
