Cohorts and Companions - Equipment As Allies - Intelligent Item Cohorts

Advice

Are intelligent item cohorts worth it and what are some useful ways to get the most out of one ?

Well , in my opinion it totally depends on the item you got in the first place.

Having a normal cohort is quite handy and on the other hand the powers you can use on your item cohort? They are kind of ... weak to me.

But if your item has a insane ego from having tons of powers , this can remove the ego check , which is handy.

In the end: You got an OP item (which has nothing to do with it being or not your cohort anyway) and has problems to control said item? Make him your cohort.

Ofc , this is from a min/max point of view , from a RP point of view it is quite cool and different.

Tim Pratt's Liars' series has an item that's basically a cohort only difference it would have any of the benefits, but at least from a RP point, it would be a good start for some ideas.
