Bite attack + disease question

Silver Crusade

If a monster spreads disease through a bite attack, can a PC with a bite attack get the disease by biting back?

Sczarni

No. The details of the disease tell us how it spreads. If "biting back" got you infected, then "contact" would be the mode of infection, not "injury".

Biting someone with Leprosy, for example, is a bad idea.

Ahh, ok. My tiefling will continue biting those dire rats, then. :)

This just came up in my first PbP game. I just thought it was in character for my unfriendly (cha 6) tiefling fighter to get angry at the dire rat that tried to bite him and bite back. Only after that did he draw his sword as a move action, for use in later rounds.
