Hotel Transylvania 2

Movies

So who else plans on seeing this movie?

*raises hand*

Missus Turin and I thoroughly enjoy the first one, so we're definitely going to see the sequel.

I enjoyed the first, but the two trailers I had to watch while playing Angry Birds 2 make the sequel look god awful. Pass.

Probably won't see it in theaters unless someone whose opinion I strongly trust tells me it's amazing. Will likely watch it on Netflix when it comes out there instead.

Hoping not having to see it, but probably will have to...

I can't wait to see it, hope it is as good as the first one.

Scarab Sages

I'm not sure why, but this frightens me a little.

Scarab Sages

Wait! Never mind, for some reason, my mind translated the title as Transylvania 6-5000 2.

Hotel Transylvania was cool little movie. When I first moved to Houston, my niece was really into it. Since I was spending a good bit of time at my brother's house back then, I got a chance to see it like 5 times.

I like this clip

I would have expected a lot more smack talked about the first movie in the comments here based on how it seems to generally be viewed.

I'm certainly a fan of Tartakovsky, though his style works better in 2D animation. I might see this if not in the cinema then at least at some point.

The first one is amusing and cute (for us). It's worth checking out on Netflix or whatever equivalent service you have - we snagged it on the cheap on one of our streaming service's sales and haven't regretted it (unlike Pacific Rim, I want my 2 hours back).

We're not expecting a great movie - just a fun one.

Damnit! Now I have to put you on the list of people to be devoured first!

Probably will end up watching HT1 and 2 at some point now with a little one in the house.

I have to agree that Pacific Rim was not that good. I watched about the first half and caught the ending later. I mean, who doesn't like big mechs smashing stuff. But still Pacific Rim didn't do it for me.

If you cut out the mediocre-to-horrible acting parts of the film, it's an awesome mechs smooshing monsters short. ;)

I used to think we could have been friends...

Scarab Sages

Blah, blah, blah, blah!

I must say that Geena Davis was pretty awesome for my younger self and that lap dance she gave Hurt was stimulating

So...how ya holdin' up? Was it okay? Recommendation? Or recommendation't?

Sovereign Court

Not bad. Explains how dhampir came about...

Hopefully I will get a chance to see it this week.

Sovereign Court

Sorry i was joking about the dhampir: because of this movie i am now in fact more confused about them. :P

I saw it at the drive in theatre with my kids and it did the job though lol

There's still drive-in theaters?! AWESOME!!

Sovereign Court

Yes, and quite popular (always packed) - they run until the late fall as they can start movies earlier as the days grow shorter. Just bring warm sweaters, blankets and hot chocolate!

Agreed! PDK made me curious, so I checked online and, sure enough, there's a drive-in theater near(ish) to me! Why am I just learning this?!

I saw this the other day and I liked it, though I wish the ending didn't feel so rushed.

Odds are I'll be zombie before you are. Starts list of people to be devoured after being nommed on by Texas zombies.

It looks like it is making at least as much money as the first one if not more so maybe we will get third one. I do feel they missed a great "meet the parents" or "crazy wedding" story with them skipping to the wedding and having a kid at the beginning of the movie.
