Let's have some fun! PFS characters based on popular culture.

So we've all been tempted to do it, make a PFS character based on Dragonball Z or Record of Lodoss War, or whatever. I thought I'd post a thread here to see what characters people have made (or seen) that were based off of popular culture/media. Include a name, class description, and, if you know, the background. I'll see if I can't create a list and post it somewhere organized by franchise.

I've only done one:

----My little Pony----
LG Wayang (chained) summoner (No archetype)
Twillika is not the character, the one based on a character is her Eidolon, a pink pony with a unicorn horn and pegasus wings. She has Diplomacy and they two worship Grunndinir. Her 'Eidolon mark' is on her flank, a glowing picture of a lance with a heart over it. The Eidolon "Rainbow Legacy" Frequently talks about her home demi-plane of Equestria.

Others I have seen:

----Futurama-----
Morbo, 1/2 Orc Bloodrager x (aberration bloodline, he's from the stars)/Titan Fighter 1
Morbo is a member of the Sovern Court and is skilled in diplomacy (He has 'Tea with Morbo'). He has ranks in Profession-Lovable Anchor Monster (mechanically, ranks in 'town crier') He's from Numeria.

The Professor (Venerable) Human Alchemist (Visionary Researcher) X /Investigator (Empiricist)3
"Good news everyone! The Professor has joined the society!" The professor is actually very intelligent, but will often feign ignorance if he doesn't like what he's heard. He focuses on healing bombs for combat, though he really shines in finding and disabling devices and making knowledge checks. His 'eyes of the eagle' are actually flavored as his smelloscope. Whenever he identifies monster abilities, he always asks for the most dangerous ability, then tells the rest of the party with "Good news everyone! That monster can (turn you to stone, or drive you mad, or whatever.)

I've seen many others, but I think I will let their creators post them (I know that they frequent the boards.)

I need to buy a few more pdfs first, but I've got an old 2nd edition AD&D char I'm considering remaking for Pathfinder Society. He's based on the Riftwar and Serpentwar novels by Raymond Fiest.

The character? Plug the Sorcerer and his familiar Faintlos the pseudodragon.

This character is based on Pug the Magician from those novels, and his friend/familiar Fantus the kind of overweight drake. Pug inherets the drake from his first teacher.

Have Gun, Will Travel
My first PFS character* was based off the main character, Paladin, from this classic TV show.
LG female human gunslinger (mysterious stranger) 1, paladin X

* She's actually my -2; I built two characters before my first session and ended up playing this one for quite a while before playing my -1.

    ♪♫♪♫
    “Paladin, paladin,
    where do you roam?
    Paladin, paladin,
    far, far from home.
    'Have Gun, Will Travel'
reads the card of a lass.
    A knight in a petticoat
    and a yellow sash...”

Awesome! I may just have to model my next monk I play after the main character from Kung Fu. or maybe make a conjurer based off the wizard kid in the old D&D cartoon? Naw, probably wont do that.

Although I might make a cavalier (once I have the book) named John Lee Glaze using the Ghost Rider archtype from Occult Adventurers.

My second PFS character was an Investigator-archetype Rogue (made well before the ACG playtest) who was intended to be a Taldan Hercule Poirot.

He was promptly bitten in half by a giant water beetle via an unlucky critical in the first round of the first combat of the first session he was played in...

Luckily his niece, an actual ACG Investigator, has lasted significantly longer.

Liberty's Edge

Boss say G'Darm patterned after Indrebdible Hulk from thing called Super Hero Squad Show. G'Darm not sure what that mean.

Boss also say G'Darm predate brawler class. G'Darm brawl plenty . . .

Luigeon Virenstache, at your service. I'm-a told Virens means green in-a Azlanti, and I do have-a big green moustache. I'm-a lookin' for my brother, Marioc... He's-a missing! His-a girlfriend, the Princess, is-a very worried about him!

Gnomish alchemist grenadier. Trait for Acrobatics, pyromaniac for good bombs, and extracts of jump and reduce person because of course he does. Recently became the owner of a "Bitter Manor" (i.e. a Mansion) in Taldor after booting out the creepies.

I also have a half-elven bard who is, for all intents and purposes, Pat Benatar. I study her discography before each game so I know what Tenar is belting out as she inspires courage.

When is this going to get approved by PFS?
http://shop.d20pfsrd.com/products/ponyfinder-tribes-of-everglow?ref=yotpo_9 0

That's right, Ponyfinder!!! We demand it!

Or...um...not. (Apologies for tainting your minds.)

As for actual PFS:
I know there are several Captain America Brawlers out there, often with the name of a Golarion country.

Indiana Jones seems to be popular, again often swapping out for a Golarion locale. I have a PC who looks & acts like him, but lacks the actual physical aptitude(using magic to facilitate the deeds). I guess he's more like Marcus in truth...

I've seen at least two Inigo Montoya Swashbucklers, accent & all.

From HunterXHunter, there was a Halfling Gon I ran across at a con.

Oh, and Feist's Midkemia stories are based on his own DnD experiences, so I guess it comes full circle for them to again become PCs.

Cheers

Ha ha! That's great, but I have no idea how I'd build him. I guess . . . bloodrager? Actually the Esoteric Magus (new occult adventures archtype) could mimic some of his abilities.

Anyway, some more that I've seen.

----James Bond----
James Fond, Human chained rogue (Spy) x /Brawler (Snake Bite striker)1
James Fond has a quite frankly appauling bonus to bluff checks and his player always does a Sean Connery impression while playing him. He hits on every lady he can (renaming them 'Kitty' when he can.) Always armed with his 'trusty' hand crossbow, his main weapon is his 'Judo Chop' (Unarmed strike) which he dipped into brawler specifically to get.

----Video Games----
The Witcher: (Male Inquisitor (Sanctified slayer))
A local player also has a character based off of a Witcher. His character always sounds super serious. He focuses on knowledge checks for monsters and has different weapons for different situations (most preferred, though, are his longswords). Very witcher-esque, he even renamed most of his spells to coincide with spells from the game.

Grand Lodge

----Drax the Destroyer----
Sraxx, Human Brawler (base)
He started out as Drax with the serial number filed off, but has grown a lot since I started. He's level 10 in PFS now, follows Cayden, understands metaphors, specializes in a few tricks, is increasingly wise but still not terribly smart, but mostly he just beats the holy bajesus out of things and combat maneuvers all over the place.

----Freakazoid + Schmebulon (gravity falls)----
Schmebulon, Gnome Aerokineticist
Schmebulon's social ability with Freakazoid's approach to heroism. I haven't played him yet, but he's on the books and built out.

Dark Archive

... Freakazoid? Really? I guess he is more of a hero then Lord British (or whatever name he finally settled on) and Huntsman. He does occasionally do something heroic, when he actually notices a crime... and when he's not suffering from his ADH hey look, a squirrel!

What was I talking about?

Huntsman actually WANTED to fight crime, but he lived in a town with an exceptionally low crime rate.

That Brittish guy also wanted to fight crime, sort of, but he hated anything 'unseemly.' Thus he refused to fight crime when it involved going down into a sewer (even though he wouldn't have to touch anything because he could FLY!)

I have an Ulfen Aasimar Invulnerable Rager with the Unscathed trait (so all his energy resistances are 7) and Affable. I probably should have left off the Angelic Flesh (Brazen) feat to keep his weakness to fire, but oh well. He takes an enormous amount of punishment, and will tell you all about how he is the president of the Ambrus Valsin fanclub back home.

My -2 and -3 characters would fit the OP's description:

2) Tempest Oro, a female Druid/Rogue from Osirion with the Sorcerer Bloodline for Air (Ororo Monroe, aka Storm)

3) Nevark the Hunter is a Barbarian/Slayer that uses a spear and a net, max ranks in Craft(Alchemy), and rages with scent (Sergei Karavinoff, aka Kraven the Hunter.)

11) I have also created a goblin Alchemist (that I will probably never get to play in PFS...) His name is Tem Bwhabam (The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight.)

Sadly goblin boons are super rare in PFS. There are about 33 in all of society.

Love your Kraven the hunter though!

Trait memorable

rules:

Growing up amid a large number of children, you learned quickly how to get others’ attention and keep it. When you modify a character’s attitude with the Diplomacy or Intimidate skill, the attitude change lasts 1-1/2 times longer than it otherwise would. Whenever you create a fear or mind-affecting effect that imposes a penalty or bonus with a duration of at least 2 rounds, it lasts 1 additional round after it would normally end. For example, if you demoralize a foe with an Intimidate check and beat the DC by 5, the victim is shaken for 3 rounds instead of the usual 2 rounds.

I made a PFS Zap Brannigan of sorts. I took a bunch of dazzling display feats so my bragging is so impressive(or annoying) my allies fight better.

I assume you did that before that one movie came out. If so,figure out a way to prove Disney stole the idea from you, sue, then settle for less than it costs Disney to pursue the lawsuit.

Or just let it go.

Great :D

Elsa should be a Suli Sorcerer with the alternate racial trait Energy Strike (Su): Icewalk and the Boreal bloodline :)
