Hi all, just looking for some insight & inspiration in creating the Tall Man, his short henchmen & silver spheres from the Phantasm movies.

So here's what I know:
The Tall Man was a human mortician who went though a portal that allowed him travel through time & space, & came back "changed". Devoid of emotion, possessing what seems to be psionic powers (telepathy, telekinesis) & super strength. He is vulnerable to cold & sonic effects/damage. He has been around a while (in earth years roughly 120 years)
He creates minions using embalming techniques plus some unknown process:
1. Short, very strong ugly creatures in brown robes that seem to be normal corpses shrunken down to half-size. They are all created from the recently dead. Some even possess twisted memories of their past lives. (These could be undead which means the Tall Man might have necromantic abilities too)
2. Strange silver spheres about the size of a softball that can fly & have spring loaded blades, drills, or saws which makes them seem somewhat mechanical. Inside each sphere is a miniaturized brain. (The brains of people turned into his shrunken minions)
So he is either a psion or a psion/necromancer with really high strength. I'd give him a pretty high charisma or intimidate too because he's really menacing. He seems to be an outsider or an extraplanar undead. He shrugs off pretty severe damage & there is a scene in one movie where he was killed but a duplicate appeared almost immediately out of a dimensional gateway nearby.
So just looking for thoughts, ideas, & some pointers.
Whoa, that's weird. I just got the first two movies in the mail from Netflix today. :-D

I'm pretty sure I've seen the first one years ago, but I barely remember it. I don't mind (most) spoilers, and I clicked on the post after all! :-)
