Favorite funny spells

Advice

So my question is what are everyone's favorite spells, not for raw power but for flair and fun role playing. I'm looking for spells that are sorcerer/wizard or bard and will just give the party a good laugh while still being mildly combat effective. So far I have been looking at spells like irresistable dance and unnatural lust, which are extremely funny but can still put an enemy out of the fight for a few rounds. It will be a good laugh when our paladin is suddenly being kissed by an undead, or when a dragon begins to tap dance to a sea shanty. Thoughts?

Enemy hammer, concept is amazing, in practice s bit weak, but the idea makes me grin.

Minor and Major Creation for their oft-forgotten Dismissible duration. Make a 50 or 100 foot rope to climb or use as a zip line, when your enemies try to follow dismiss it when they are at the highest point. It is so priceless to the the look on faces as they are grasping at empty air for just a split second. Pitons, door spikes, and shims for deactivating traps are other fun items to have simply disappear at just the right moment.

Not gamebreaking... but Grease, Glitterdust, and Black Tentacles.

Oh the fun you will have. Even Pit Fiends trip in Grease ^_^.

I have started bar fights before with Presdigitation and Mage Hand. Implicated many others also.

Color Spray and its descendants.

Because you can kill enemies with rainbows.

Reduce Person is good if your GM has a funny squeaky small voice.

I also imagine Aggressive Thundercloud would be fun- just seeing an enemy constantly rained upon by a little cloud above their head, with occasional lightning bolts.

I suppose Fire Sneeze isn't off the table?

Baleful Polymorph is a classic.

Silence. Cant even scream for mercy :3
Also love Snapdragon Fireworks ever since NPC codex came out and showed what they actually looked like.
Not really magic per say but also love the Power of Suggestion Trait and tricking NPCs into thinking you literally stole their nose xD

If your party is lenient, Explosive Runes could make a good running gag. Or you could just give people flyers with Explosive Runes printed on them.

Mad Monkeys seems useful and funny. Rain of Frogs, less useful, but still considerably fun to see your enemies pelted by little green croaky things.

If you can describe Stinking Cloud's odor in depth, then it can be funny.

Pup Shape was completely meant for this sort of thing. You polymorph your target into a weaker, smaller version of what it was, so you could turn a dog into a little puppy. And the little puppy gains a Sanctuary-type effect, in that you need to make a will save to be able to try to hurt the puppy. Unless you're evil, in which you should have no problem.

Open/Close. It's fun to close the door in the enemy's face, or even better, unleash the snarling beast that they have been experimenting upon.

Sending. It doesn't allow a saving throw, or SR, and range is unlimited if you know the target and it is on the same plane. If you are in downtime and can cast it one or more times, you can mentally tweet the BBEG of your campaign, even if it does him no harm and he is not obligated to act on the message.

"Hey, its 2 AM here. I'm bored. What are you doing? What are you wearing? Will you tell me a story?"

"Wha? You? Why are you talking to me??? Get out of my head!!!"

[casts it again]

"Ohhhhh, sounds like someone needs a hug. Who's the big evil necromancer grumpy pants? You are."

"....Not listening.... not listening... I will kill you slowly someday."

Not a combat spell, but Create Water gets a LOT of use in our games...

Sometimes we use it to clean up after ourselves (we tend to be a bit murdery)...

Sometimes it's just for wet t-shirt contests...

Sometimes we just like to sneak up on someones campfire and put it out.

We're sorta jerks I guess. :D

First campaign we ever did, the Bard found the spell Pants. It does....exactly what it says. It pantses the enemy. It was his most used spell after that.

Renders your pants prone?

;)

Reflex save?

Mad Monkeys

Not wizard or sorc, but for a witch my non-optimal fun spells are lipstitch and vomit swarm. I find the idea of sewing an enemies lips shut hilarious, and doing the sound effects for vomit swarm as I cast it always makes me smile on the inside (not the outside, on the outside, I'm pretending to vomit)

Grand Lodge

Sonic note. It's a first level bard spell that I've gotten an absurd number of uses out of. Step on it (my bard is light), use it as a climbing hook, create an extra sharp note to cut your ropes with when you're tied up, use it to hang a sign off, block a small hole... It's just great. Odd, but great.

I came here to say Mad Monkeys as well. It's a swarm of monkeys that fling poo at you.

It's great.

Thanks everybody, those were all great!

My favorite for my Calistrian gunslinger/sacred fist warpriest was the Low Blow Cantrip by the 1001 spells compendium. Causes a 'Painful contusion of the groin', 1 pt of damage and fort save vs. sickened for 1 round.

It's basically a ranged 'Cup check' spell that you can toss off every round that makes anyone wince when it works.

Fun fact: an adult copper dragon has unlimited Grease, Hideous Laughter, Ghost Sound and Stone Shape. They are also trap masters and their breath weapon Slows.

YFW you realize an adult copper dragon's lair is a CR12 funhouse.

Solid Note. All the way.

The idea of singing a note into reality, hanging off it... hilarious.

I don't know why no one has said this yet, but Summon Monster all day. Sure, you can do the normal thing and summon the optimal monster each combat... OR you can pull shenanigans like summoning a water elemental and then when the spell finishes on the next round, use your new action to cast an aqueous orb which your elemental pal hops into and starts vortexing in. Ultimate spin-cycle combo madness.

It's pretty much endless if you get creative.

Silver Crusade

Not going to lie, I get a lot of mileage out of Prestidigation.
-Flirting with people at the tavern? Turn their drab cheap drinks into the tastiest alcohol they've ever had.
-Want to frame someone for murder? Color change their clothes a nice blood red at the crime scene.
-Just got back adventuring at 5:00 but need to meet the Baron at 5:10? Make yourself look good again.
-Infiltrating a secretive order? Buy some basic robes/garments and color them to look like the outfits.

i like adhesive spittle.

because some bugs try to annoy you and attack YOU. A wizard! PREPOSTEROUS. the only thing they are worthy is a spit in the face!

Sovereign Court

Pathfinder Maps, Rulebook, Starfinder Maps, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Snap Dragon Fireworks - an area spell (only 5') so great against swarms. Long range. And it's FABBBULOUSSSS!

Burning Disarm - whether they save or fail, they still lose.

Liberty's Edge

Interrogation: "HOW old were you when you stopped wetting the bed? Jeez man..."

Bouncy body: Dunk your enemies...with the gnome! Gnomesketball!

Erase: Your party wizard will NEVER forgive you...

Long Arm: "WHO TOUCHED MY REAR?!" *innocent whistling*

Share language: Great for showing that Dwarf in the corner how much $#!% the elf is talking about him. Stand back and watch the fun.

Flaming sphere: "In here, we play kickball...for KEEPS."

Ice slick: It's like grease, but your party can bring cleats and laugh all day!

disguise other: Cast on a sleeping victim to look like their own worst enemy; when his buddies wake, enjoy the show.

Aboleth's lung: cast in a desert. Instant alignment shift.

Lock gaze: "Now that I have your FULL attention, I'd like to show you what an 18 charisma looks like under the hood. you will NEVER un-see..."

Does that mean that you can make a Chaotic Evil Human Lich Sorcerer into a good guy?

Hydrophobia and either Geyser or Aqueous Orb
Better when cast on a water elemental.

Magic Mouth to convince people they have been cursed from picking up a random rock.
"Return this stone to the tomb of X in the legendary land of X or forever suffer the misfortune your actions have wrought!"

Yeah, but then what if it's a particularly dense evil wizard? 3 storylines, 13 sidequests, and 19 levels later and you have a real problem on your hands.

I once had a necromancer following the party around using animate dead on everything they killed.

Someone told me they wished there was a teleport with error. Baleful Teleport is an automatic mishap if they fail the reflex save. A good way to dump someone in The Cleaves. Otherwise they land off target by miles. It's going to be a 6th level spell because of the close range. Same number of creatures transported. The aforementioned reflex save to get out of the way of the spell. All targets must be within 5 feet of each other. Any ideas for changes before I move this spell over to homebrew?

In 3.5 there was a spell that for the life of me I can not remember now. It was like baleful transposition except cast an illusion that made the 2 people who swapped positions look like each other. so person A swapped placed with person B and looked like person B for a round (and person B looked like person A). Soooooo much fun. But yeah I think my favorite spell in PF is summon monster when you have either the first worlder archetype or the summon evil monsters feat, because you can summon pugwampis. ....PUGWAMPIS!!!!

Considering a baleful teleport would be a save or suck, likely an instant death kind, but wouldn't give treasure for the kill...
Id make it a touch attack, single target, will save puts them in a random space 1d4 spaces away in 1d8 direction. Success sends them wherever on the plane you say they go to, you must be familiar with the location per teleport rules.

I love summon earth elementals. You can make tremorsense trip attempts against someone. Repeatedly. With no real reason that they can tell.
