Soulbound Puppet: Just how lifelike does it look?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

The Soulbound Puppet focus power lets you use a humanoid bone to create a temporary homonculus that 'vaguely resembles the original creature'.

I realise it only slightly resembles the original creature but does it still look alive? Does it look like the same type of creature as the bone?

I have an idea for an NPC (or possibly PC if I ever get to be a player), of a Occultist who has the skull of his deceased child as the base for his homonculus. He is slightly unbalanced and occasionally treats it as though it were his actual child.
How much like a human would the homonculus look? Would it look like a living being? Would it look obviously artificial?

Nobody knows?
