The Abyssal / Outsider trait: WotR versus Season of the Righteous

The Wrath of the Righteous AP card mentions this:
"In locations that have the Abyssal trait, ignore the Outsider trait on banes."

But the SotR AP card doesn't.

Is this supposed to be the case? I assumed it was because people would keep forgetting to keep track of it because we won't always lay out the AP sheet, but wanted to clarify.

I've been assuming it was true, just like you.

That doesn't make it so, of course, but I guess it means I'd like it to be so.

I'm just some yahoo, but I'm with Keith.

It will be made so.

Safe to assume this fell off the radar? :)

I see the Season 1 PDF's were updated in Nov 2016 but if this change was made I'm not seeing it.

Thanks!

We did briefly make it so, but then realized that wasn't what we really wanted, so we unmade it. For SotR, we wanted that rule to apply only while the characters are in the Abyss, which only happens in Adventure 4. So that text is only on that adventure card and not the Adventure Path card.

A related question. Is there ever a point in SotR (like in WotR) when all locations have the Abyssal trait?

In 1-5D, for instance (Gods, Save the Queen!), Shadow Demons are frequently summoned. Shadow Demons have a power that refers specifically to Abyssal locations, yet none of the 1-5D locations have the printed Abyssal trait. Is this intentional? That power is just ignored?

1-5D actually happens in a paladin stronghold, so it's very much not abyssal.

That makes sense, it's just odd that the main summonable hencheman have "if at abyssal location" effects that don't do anything.

Also, I wanted to clarify that there's never a point in SotR in which all locations automatically become Abyssal (like in WotR). I think not?

There is no blanket rule, no.

That said, there are definitely scenarios in which you are hard pressed to find locations that aren't Abyssal, especially in 1-4.

Great, thanks for the clarification. Just making sure we're playing correctly. :)
