I hope this goes here...

Anyway...I the base stats for character #30 L1 Rogue, intending it to take Wizard and eventually Arcane Trickster... He's not been played at all yet.

Now Core is out and I'd like to make it a core character. I've now got about 40 characters including 3 core characters. Do I have to mess up my list of characters to delete it and then create as core?

I'm also thinking it might not really matter as long I have the chronicles that only core games were applied to it.

Thanks,

It does matter, as whenever your non-core character is reported with a group of core characters all of the core characters will be converted to non-core in the reporting system.

If the character has no credit (no games reported in the system and no chronicle sheets applied to it, even from GMing) then e-mail customer service and ask them to switch the character over to core.

If the character has GM or player chronicles from non-core games then my understanding is that it cannot be made a core character.

Your understanding is correct. If the character has played in non-Core games they are no longer eligible to be Core. If a character is created as Core and plays in a non-Core game, they are irrevocably transitioned to RPG and can no longer be Core.

There have been cases where characters have played in Core games that have been accidently reported as non-Core and we've reverted those characters, but that is the only exception to the rule.

Also, one important point has been missed in the original poster's question. Any character created prior to the release of the Core Campaign does not have the Core Option available and remains a Standard Campaign character.

@Saiman: Probably the easiest and quickest way to do it is just to leave #30 as an undefined Standard PFS PC, to be determined later, and just create a new Core PC to use with this character idea/build.

And I do empathize with your large number of PCs issue, as I have 37 (I think) PCs created here, with 4 or 5 of them being Core PFS, the rest Standard PFS.
