Maze spells and Ooze food.

Rules Questions

Okay, sorry for the weird subject line for this thread couldn't think of an appropriate one.

The scenario is thus...

1) Ooze kills and absorbs character into it's mass.

2) The rest of the party can't kill the ooze due to it's defensive abilities.

3) They want to rescue the dead character floating in the ooze and cast Maze on ooze so that it vanishes and leaves the dead character on the floor.

Is this legit or does the corpse travel with the ooze?

As a corpse it would be a carried item, and I think the poor guy is now trapped in a mazed ooze. If he's still twitching, even unconcious, he's grappled and I don't think he's subject to the maze spell and gets left behind (probably still covered in acid and dying, but at least able to cough and breath).

The PC is no longer alive so I'd say the body is now part of the ooze.

I'm not sure how I'd rule that if he were still alive. very odd scenario.
