My only major snark at this point is that some of the items on my personal Top 32 were cut in the final cull, leaving me to reevaluate my list. That, and certain items are still in it which leave me scratching my head, but I suppose there's no accounting for taste. It's definitely going to be an interesting final run. Looking forward to tomorrow's results.
Dueling ghost items. I think I will vote for the better one of the two.
:-/
That's not so much a magic item as a magical trap.
Most examples of that creature subtype have senses other than vision and that ability will not help you avoid them. Which make this item primary (first) ability usually ineffective.
Interesting item. The mechanics are a little loose, but it is kinda cool and fun. Vote!
I don't know. I think constant concealment is too good. Without a limit I've got to down vote even though I really like your other ability.
I'm snarking that I have yet to see my own item. Granted I'm somewhere between 100 and 500 votes, but there are only 223 items still in. I should hit it soon. Gotta keep voting. Just want to see it once.
Keep on snarking on.
Edit: Wow, I hit Marathon without realizing it. I guess it did feel like a lot of votes.
some thing I hadn't seen before and is good!
I'm having a hard time snarking, a lot of these items are pretty good.
I haven't seen a Xill item. Could someone PM it to me?
I'm mostly seeing the same two dozen over and over again, don't know why I'm stuck with them.

Why the hell is that still in at the end?

All out of snark. Also, all done with voting. Now comes the wait.

Look algorithm, I am NOT going to vote for that item. How many times do I need to down vote it before you get the idea...I mean you would have to pair that item against a real pile of .... never mind.
Doesn't look like I will be making marathon this year.

As a final send off to the Snark thread which has also been the rant thread and the ramble thread I wanted to say a few words.
If anything in this thread hurt your feelings I apologize* with an asterisks. The foot note is that I'm only truly sorry if you don't learn from the comment and do better next year. I'm only truly sorry if you have a weak chin to criticism as it's a bad sign for you as a designer and I don't like kicking people when they are down.
The vast majority of us are going to be disappointed in a few hours. To those that are disappointed, post in critique my item and if I am among you I promise you I will critique your work. I've critiqued every item that's asked since season 6. I won't pull any punches and the critique will be actionable and useful. If I move on the critiques form me will be delayed; sorry, but not sorry if that happens.
Regardless of the outcome you can still win by learning from the critiques and maybe doing some yourself. Don't pack up and bail either watch the competition unfold and invest in your favorites as they will need your continued support. Superstar is a hard road for them too.
To the lucky few that move on. You are the first top 32 raised purely by the public and you represent us more than any Top 32 before. Bring it on, do your best and if for some reason you cannot bow out and give an alternate the chance.
Bring your best, do use proud, and remember the rules. If I am among you and have a chance to compete for the title I don't want to advance because someone better couldn't keep silent during open voting in the subsequent rounds.
Good luck to everyone.

Could we please reopen the voting booth for the first round now ? Even if our votes are not taken into account.
It would ease the waiting pain if I could be comparing items, waiting the required 60 seconds, downvoting and snarking as appropriate ;-P

No! No! No! :P
Suffer my little victi... contestants!
Know the joy of tense suspense as you wait for reveal!
Know the exquisite torture of an impending Template Fu review!
Know that I am hungry!
Know that my appetite cannot be sated until all 32 items lie dead at my feet, picked clean of their flesh, just skeletal remains left as evidence of their existence...
Suffer and fear!
Template Fu is coming... for you!
p.s. That is no tease, that is truth.
The Template Fu is back in force this year :D
NOW you have butterflies...
Muhwah ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaa!

Swarm-B-Gone
Aura moderate ZZSchool; CL 10th
Slot belly button; Price 9,000,001 gp Weight 10 lbs.
Description
This +5 adamantine swarmbane bastard sword looks ordinary and has nicks and scrapes from being used in eleventy-billion battles. Its true power is revealed when within 300 feet of a swarm, as it begins to glow with blood-red runic arcane filigree. This gives the weapon the effects of bane against swarms.
As a swift action, the wielder of Swarm-B-Gone can heave it over his head. The flat edge of the blade expands to cover a 30-foot by 15-foot area as it slams into the ground. Any swarm caught completely under the blade must succeed a DC 60 fort save or die as they become a horrible bloody smear underneath the blade’s mighty, bulging girth.
Swarm-B-Gone can be attuned to a single user by having the user add more dings and scratches into the surface of the blade with his face. Doing so allows this weapon also deals 1d6 lightning, wind, acid, air, water, fire, and sonic damage on a successful critical hit.
This sword was first crafted by some guy who went into a certain museum and has his whole team wiped out by a swarm and he was still butthurt about it.
Construction
Requirements Diehard; Cost 4,500,000 gp, 5 sp
