I made a list of all of the items I saw post-Cull

And I'm seeing more new items, which is refreshing. What we had a cull!!!??? Si. Cull. That explains the lack of poorly formatted entries in the last hour or so...

Oh, sorry. Wrong season.
Maybe I like my alcohol warm, did you think about that!
Nope, nope sorry I just can't vote for you, oh never mind you get the vote.
Oh wow, both of these items contain [noun] and [related noun] in the name.

I prepared your list today.
nohohooo why did this item that keeps stalking me survive the cull (just kidding I suspect they just culled all the rulebreakers the item is also fine I have just seen it a LOT)

Okay, that word you used, does not mean the same thing if it's not...oh, never mind. It's also superseded by the fact that you can't actually do damage to it if... *sigh* Again, never mind.
Interesting idea. Faceplant on execution.
2 items with prices in the 6 figures one is almost worth the price!
weird it happened again with 2 other items...
So first off, let me describe the top of the box in detail.
Now the sides.
The inside has a very fancy lining, we should chat about that for a while.
Underneath the box you'll see some interesting patterns.......
:sound of me running away before they can get to the 3rd paragraph which contains a description of what the item actually does::
I prefer my runes fixed and immobile, thanks. I learned in another game never to trust books with writhing anything about them.
Oh darn, two of my very favorite items so far against each other. :I
My first joke vs. joke match-up! And I'd never seen either item before!

I voted for the lesser of two evils. (They were both pretty amusing, actually)
..."jokeoff"?...I feel a little dirty
Mask vs. mask! Is this a mask-off?
Item, I kind of like you, even though I don't usually like items like you. But you're kind of badly written.
EDIT: And then the next pair had another item I want to like but is badly written... but a different kind of item I don't like.

Wait, it gives that ability to the player?
Wow, I hope paizo officially publishes that item so I can do magic IRL.
You can't use that word. Thanks for getting my downvote in the first sentence though, saves me some time.
This is the third time this item has come up for me and I have read it, and I still have no idea what it actually does.

The themes for this season seem to be—so far—masks and lions.
Feros wrote: The themes for this season seem to be—so far—masks and lions. And bards (in or out of a can) and hating incorporeals.
Two items over 175k again. Paizo could just put out a book of items called "stuff that is too expensive for you to ever have". They will have more than enough material just from this contest.

There was one item last year that was designed specifically to KILL bards. Because traditionally, you know, they're just so darn hard to kill...
;)

Unrelated, I found my first 'blindness that isn't blindness' item. It's againt a hyperconvoluted artifact that only women can create (for no real reason).
I wish there were separate 'equally good' and 'please cull these pieces of garbage' buttons.

Entangle Animal vs Entangle Vegetable
Although I liked the item I actually entered better, beginning to wonder if I should have entered my first item idea. It would have fit in better, and had more flash.

There are more where that came from.
You are so wonky and overpowered that I'm voting for an unenhanced weapon over you.

Zombieneighbours wrote: I applaud your desire not to assume that the user is male, but seriously, use a gender neutral pro-nouns rather than "his or her" Pathfinder always uses gender specific pronouns. A lot of the time the gender specified is the gender of the iconic character tied to the class. (Barbarian is always "She", Wizard is always "He", and so on)
However, when it comes to items, most people will choose a gender. That's just how it is.
Or, let's say, the item in question is better used for clerics than for fighters. Since the iconic cleric is female, the item would use "She" as the pronoun to refer to the user.
Using gender specific pronouns also makes determining the subject of a sentence in an ability or item description SIGNIFICANTLY LESS confusing. The use is the "He" or the "She", and the target or targets are always referred to as "It" or "They" (As a target can be ANYTHING)
Example. Say I'm talking about a sword:
The wielder can use her Strength modifier as a bonus to AC when parrying with the sword.
As opposed to:
The wielder can use its Strength modifier as a bonus to AC when parrying with the sword.
If I ever read the second example in an item's description, the first thing that would come to mind is, "What's the sword's Strength modifier?"
Since the item is an object and easier to identify as an "it", that can lead to confusion.
I feel like I'm explaining this more than I should be...
Anyway that's the way I've always seen it.
This item is missing four words from an important rules phrase and adding those words would put it over word count. Just because the rule is commonly referred to in play by a single word does not make it okay to use that single word when writing rules. I'd overlook this is adding those words would not put the item over word count, but it does.
Ugh, formatting is so bad that I have to reference the PRD to determine if that is a feat or spell.

An ampersand...really?
Name a single item description that ever used an ampersand.
"and" is the word...
"and"
Yes..."and"
