Elemental Ascetic, Pummeling Charge, and Monk Feats

I was looking through Occult Adventures and found this archetype. I was wondering if it is treated as a monk for purposes of feats, specifically Pummeling Charge. I don't see anything RAW about it, but I suspect that either the archetype or the feat will be errata'd to allow this. Thoughts?

Also, due to the nature of Pummeling Charge and Pummeling Style, would an Elemental Ascetic add Kinetic Fist damage only once when using the style or would it apply for each hit? The wording on the SRD seems to imply that Kinetic Fist would apply for each hit, but the wording in the book seems to imply only one attack (and so only one application of Kinetic Fist's damage).

It doesn't say it count as monk so gotta qualify for Pummeling Charge the long way (the high BAB requirement). Its flurry of blows should qualify for Pummeling Style easily enough.

The new errata for Pummeling Style means all the attacks are separate and the damage is pooled together vs DR. So the kinetic fist elemental damage gets applied for each successful attack roll. But the damage is only gonna pool for Damage Reduction. It won't work to pool the separate elemental dice for energy resistance (for cases of fire/cold/electric/whatever composite) or hardness.

I actually misread the feat until you said that and looked back over it. I misread "base attack bonus +12, brawler level 8th, or monk level 8th." as "base attack bonus +12; brawler level 8th or monk level 8th." That means I read it as having a base attack bonus requirement AND a level requirement in one of the two classes. Apologies!

Absolutely no worries! The ACG was full of awkward wording everywhere, even with the errata.

I'd personally vote trying out regular kineticist with kinetic blade before going full monk-y with the elemental ascetic. Easier to describe up a martial artist description with blade attacks than having to use the mechanics and damage of kinetic fist to make it worthwhile.
