Telekinetic Blast and Cover

Rules Questions

Telekinetic blast just says it flings a nearby object, it doesn't say the object has to be in your square. Can you fling an object from an angle to avoid cover? Or from a target's square?

Off hand I would say it's GM fiat.. as long as it's within the range of action.

when the blast says an object can i use an arrow of a crossbow and shoot with it ? and if yes would the dmg of the crossbow add to my blasts dmg ?

Damage would be one or the other but not both.

I've always assumed that cover for kineticists is adjudicated from the position of the kineticist. This seems to me to be most consistent with the design intent. I haven't had a PFS GM balk at that approach yet.

If you calculate it from the object you're throwing then there would be much more niggling details to worry about. A GM would have to decide on every loose object in every combat environment if you go that way.

If you want to avoid cover like that then you will have to use the Snake infusion.
