So I like to make my characters revolve around the theme of the season's year. Like I have a demon hunter for year 5 and a serpentine sorcerer prepared for season 7. However, I have no idea what to do for seasons 3 and 4. For 4 I am thinking a forgemaster since he uses runes but other than that I am stuck. Anyone have any ideas for a character who's theme could revolve around those seasons? I have almost all of the main books and I don't mind buying one of the smaller books.

Season 4 was the Year of the Risen Rune. It was set mostly in Varisia, and dealt with learning about ancient Thassilon and the deities and runelords therefrom. The cult of Lissala, an ancient deity (thought lost), figures prominently in some high-level scenarios.
You could make anything with a Varisian theme and connect well. A Shoanti fighter, barbarian, skald or bloodrager might have a solid connection. A dwarf looking for his race's long-lost heritage or a Varisian Harrower or other traveler might be very good. If you have the player's companions for these types, I'm sure you can figure out good connections to some of the storylines.

Season 3 was all about the Hao-Jin Tapestry and the Dragon Empires. Just about any Dragon Empires concept would fit well. Kitsune, Tengu, and Nagaji are all open access races right now, to boot. Samurai or Ninja alternate classes fit well, along with any of the archetypes from the Dragon Empires books.

For Season 3 and venturing into the Hao Jin Tapestry you could make a Horizon Walker and play #6-18: From Under Ice as one of your 1-5 scenarios.
