Human Swashbuckler 1/Staff Magus 1
Feats:
1 Weapon Focus (Quarterstaff)
1 Weapon Versatility (human bonus)
1 Swashbuckler Finesse (swashbuckler bonus)
2 Quarterstaff Master (magus bonus)
Quarterstaff Master allows you to use your quarterstaff one-handed.
Weapon Versatility allows you to use your quarterstaff as a piercing weapon (as a swift action until bab +5, then free)
Swashbuckler Finesse allows you to use Weapon Finesse with any "light or one-handed piercing weapon"
(I'm debating whether it would be worth adding slashing grace to this so I could get dex to damage when using it as a "one-handed slashing weapon", but I digress)
So... legit?

I'm not entirely sure you'll find a legitimate Rules Questions answer for this. Whether or not Weapon Versatility actually changes the weapon quality is currently unclear.
I asked Mark Seifter about something similar earlier, his reply* can be found here.
Short answer? Your mileage may vary.

I'd allow it, but expect table variation. Just because you have feat that allows you to wield a weapon as a one-handed piercing weapon, doesn't mean it is a one-handed piercing weapon.
I agree, you can always find somebody that wants to shut something interesting down for pedantic reasons. For this amount of investment, why not allow it?

I was also considering adding in Hamatula Strike at some point, but mainly because of the image of impaling people on a quarterstaff...
about Mark's post:
Interesting. I assumed that since it wasn't an enchantment on the weapon to change it, it was the character's fighting style, it would work. I think I'll still throw it together. Now I'm debating whether a wood oracle dip would be worth it as well.
Thanks!

If it said you could wield it 'as a piercing weapon' it would be totally legit, but as it is it just artificially changes damage-type. It's like the difference between an effect that changes a spell from Spell(Fire) to Spell(Cold) vs. something that just changes the damage to cold. Hooray for legalism!
Anyhow it's a classic example of where GM judgement is a good thing.
Speaking of GM judgement, the rules text for Hamatula strike is a mess...
